Anyone here been? I went today and it was unbelievable. Everything about it outdid my expectations. I even did the "Run Lindsay Run" broadcast and sat "onstage" at College Gameday. The interaction and technology was cool as shite. Loved how it automatically knew who I was and the school I inputted to bring up UGA stuff first.
If anyone else has been, would you share your call of "Run Lindsay Run" broadcast?

Is it like karaoke, in the sense that you actually have the original call to read from and you simply add your own inflection, or do you completely shoot it from the hip?

Not trying to play the contrarian, but I didn't really care for it.
Don't get me wrong it is very cool and I certainly understand how and why it gets such acclaim, and it's well deserved. But for me PERSONALLY, I wanted more of a Smithsonian-type of vibe. Like the cleats so and so wore during a famous run, or so and so's helmet, or the football used in a famous play, etc. The technology was awesome and for general football fans I can see the appeal, but I feel like for avid fans of individual teams it just fell a little flat. Granted it's been a while since I've been, but I felt like most of the UGA stuff boiled down to just 1980 and Herschel Walker stuff.

Been there and I also loved it. I agree with WG, that it could have been better had they had more memorabilia. They did have a history of cleats, helmets, etc to show how they have changed over the years, and they also had some of Archie Griffin's stuff, but they could/should have had more. Maybe they couldn't get more?
The wall of helmets was spectacular, though, and I spent more than an hour just picking out various helmets....tried to pick some obscure helmets to show they missed some and they had every one of them I could think of.
It was well worth the $22.00 or so it cost, though, and I had a great time.

If I remember correctly you do your own thing. They record it and you can watch it while you are there, then access it from a computer once you have left.

It is like Karaoke. First you listen to the historic call, then they record your voice and the words are at the bottom if you want to use the exact words.

Never been but I've heard good things. $22 is pretty steep tho.
Speaking of museums, have any of you been to Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman? Worth the $14.50?

I took my dad last year for Father's Day, and we all loved it. The downside was that we got stuck behind a day camp of kids from south of I-20 and they were hogging all of the exhibits, wiping their boogery little hands over everything and monopolizing the interactive portions. They were chaperoned by a cadre of the housekeeper from Tom & Jerry, but ain't nobody got time for that. Sullied the experience a little, but I got over it.

That's how Canton is. When I went they had a lot of that. They had The Fridge's Superbowl XX ring on display which I thought I could wear as a bracelet. They had Vick's cleats from when he broke the QB rushing record. Tons of cool stuff.

They had a lot of memrobilia, but I agree, could've had a lot more. I coulda spent another 2 days in there reading everything though, especially in the Hall of fame room on the top floor

Difference though is that the NFL is one big corporate structure and can do that. CFB consists of hundreds of different schools at varying levels that have their own museums for those specific teams. Personally, it'd be cool to see some iga stuff in the HoF, sure, but it belongs in BM where that history was made

I do remember hearing the historic call. I didn't remember seeing the original words at the bottom. Don't get old. You can't remember anything!

I thought it was a great price considering what is in there. We've only scratched the surface of the stuff. It is a huge building crammed with stuff. If you like football at all, you will like the CFBHOF, IMO.

Totally agree with what you are saying. Maybe schools could put stuff on loan like what some of the major museums do. Kind of like the Ancient Egyptian artifacts that come to town every so often. Maybe do it on a rotation by conference every few years?

Yup. Active and retired military get in free too, which is awesome. Also, they have coupons and groupons out a lot.
