When will we find out if they're staying or going?

Who's got the scoop?

My guess is Chubb is only one that declares for the draft

We won't miss Carter or Bellamy, so good riddance. Chubb should stay but he's done enough for UGA, go get paid. Of the four, I think Sony is the safest bet to return. We may know something this week.

Carter hasn't been awful (though has been inconsistent) and I thought Bellamy has actually played pretty good this year. Good riddance is a little ridiculous anyways.

I'm guessing they will be waiting until their consultative draft grades come back.

I agree that Sony is the most likely to return. I want Chubb back, but he should go. Carter and Bellamy should return, but don't think they will. They just seem like the type that want to take the risk of not making a team vs NFL league minimum pay

Agreed. I have no problems with either of these players

Chubb seems depressed and a new start would be good for him but wouldn't most NFL GMs rank Sony ahead of Chubb?

We would miss those two greatly. Not a lotta depth at OLB at all. I think it's crucial at least one of them stays for our defense. They're the top 2 in sacks, although not many, and they're top 3 in TFL. Another offseason to develop could provide huge dividends next year, especially with a more experienced front 7 around them.

Mel Kiper also said the other day he recommends Sony and Chubb to stay another year. Don't think Chubb will, but I think there's a chance Sony could.

Chubb and Bellamy are gone. I think Carter will get a pretty mediocre to poor draft grade and comes back. Hoping that Michel returns to improve his draft stock by being the feature back for a full season, but I would not be shocked if he left.

I haven't seen it mentioned much but I do wonder if there's any concern over ball security for Michel. Don't feel like looking up the stats but seems like he has had a few more fumbles than normal (several recovered by us too so they may not show up in stats).

I do not see the upside for either RB to stay. Both defensive guys have a chance to move up if they show more consitancy.

Could Chubb or Sony run a 4.4 at the combine?

Possible. Chubb listed at 4.47. Sony listed at 4.5

You have no idea what you're talking about. We'd be in bad shape at OLB if both left.

This exactly. Although, I think the only one that returns will be Carter. And I tend to disagree with most assessments of Carter. He was not being used as a pure pass rusher early in the season, so his numbers look to be off. Later in the season, once the coaching staff figured out how to use him properly his numbers went way up. He had a pretty good year, but I agree that he could improve his draft stock if he returns, so I think he will be back.

I would be shocked if either running back returns, although, due to a deep talent pool it is possible. I would still be surprised.

Carter had the misfortune to get caught with a new DC that couldn't find the best way to use him until halfway into the season. Defensive schemes that move him around and disguise blitzes work best with his talents. The new DC had to work slowly to get the players familiar with his system.

This was my thinking, too. No knock on Tucker, there is just a learning curve.

Nono....I agree with you 100%!

If somebody makes a random unpopular assessment, you can take it for what it is worth. When more than one person sees the same thing, there just might be something to it. We saw the same things.

According to 24/7 Sony had 2 fumbles in 2016 on 137 carries. In 2015 he had 3 fumbles on 219 carries. I think considering most of his runs consisted of him fighting through swarm tackles for yards those numbers are quite satisfactory.
