Buddy......empty tank Marshall is still a much better runner than ROWK.

Again, this just shows what I said earlier, he "was" (and still is to some degree) fast and can make one really good cut. When contact is made he generally goes down within a yard or so of being hit. He HAD (again we haven't seen enough post injury to know) decent lateral movement but his balance was poor at best. He is a good runner and I honestly hope I am wrong and that he has a great rest of his career.I just think Douglas has a running style that could benefit UGA more with what they trying to do and with the smaller holes being opened up.

We will certainly see won't we? Like I said before I hope I am wrong cause we could use another home run threat.

This is what you said about KM:

never really excelled at the next level

"never really excelled"

Here is what you said about BD:

he has more in the tank than Keith

You screwed up and have been backtracking ever since.

KM is a better RB than BD - as a freshman and today. Do you agree or disagree?

I was not attempting to back track. I was simply clarifying my point. Pre-injury I think Marshall was better. Post injury? I'm not sure, we really haven't seen much of either guy this year. I "THINK" that based on what we try to do at UGA and what I have seen of Douglas in the past that he can help us more but obviously you don't feel that way.

Like I said, I didn't say he was all world. I think he runs tougher and with more energy than Marshall. Personally, I think he can do more to fill the role of tough running that Chubb did. Just my take

But he ultimately is less productive, and it's because he can't do what you think he can well enough.

Doesn't Matter?

Douglas is averaging half a yard more per carry this season but has almost no carries. So...impossible to know.

True, but this could be more of a result of respect to Marshall. To this point neither guy has gotten much work and Richt has been known to do that from time to time. No way to know for sure now but in the end we will see it for first hand this season.

That's not how a depth chart works. Based on coach's evaluation not on "respect." Keith is a better football player than ROWK.

Didn't Douglas fumble in multiple games two years ago which helped UGA lose both games? I love the kid for his heart, but he isn't good enough to be a feature back. Michel went over 100. I dont know why you think ROWK should get more carries.

Just curious what the numbers are post surgery?

So Sony is the clear #1 and we'll know see a lot more Marshall and Douglas.

I'm curious about Turner and Crowder. I recall one of the recruiting services referring to Crowder as a "poor man's Todd Gurley." Not sure what that means but I'm wondering if we'll see any of Crowder at tailback this season...or if he's destined for a redshirt.

Anytime a good running back comes along, people wonder if he can be the best ever.

1. Each new running back is basically a blank slate.
2. Each new running back gets hyped because they looked great against high school talent.

Hence, people will always wonder.

Suffers a bit on Ye Olde durability standard, though. Better when healthy? Sure. Probably not good enough to outgain him on crutches, though

I will say this about Brendan Douglas. When he has been called on to spell Gurley or Chubb, he has done the job he was asked to do. His dedication and work ethic are excellent, and he has earned the right to be called a DGD.

I agree with you. Sure he's had a few fumbles but the ROWK has stepped up when needed and can lower the shoulder better than most. Also, he hasn't been caught with a gun, signed jerseys for money, failed out or half assed his way through the program.

Buncha racists up in here that can't handle a white RB.
