I have always liked his running style and love his work ethic. I would really rather see him and Michel become a bit of a tandem because honestly I think he has more in the tank than Keith. Marshall reminds me of Caleb King; had all the tools in HS but he never really excelled at the next level.

Did you watch Douglas play last year, or the year before?
Douglas has had a couple highlight (15 yards with a broken tackle) runs, but we are much more effective running the ball with Keith. Marshall excelled more than anyone could have asked Freshman year, and the beginning of his sophomore year before tearing his ACL. He has also had the best 1-2 RB combo in the league in front of him while Caleb just had Ealey and Thomas around him I believe. Not that comparable IMO.

I will agree that Keith has talent but he was never as good as everyone made him out to be. He has speed but very little ability to break tackles and extend plays which is a mark of an elite runner. Douglas is not very fast but he does run downhill well and break tackles. I just think that may be better for the kind of offense that UGA is going for.

We'll probably need to use all four of our Tailbacks before the season is over

This place needs a purge.

It would have made more sense to me to move Douglas/ Turman/ KM into the "Chubb" role and use Sony the way we game planned. Once Chubb went down it looked like we lost 2 major components of our game plan.

Very good insight on a friendly discussion. Smh...it seems all you people do when you don't agree with something is refer to them being removed from the board. Really? How about responding with something better?

If you think Keith Marshall and Caleb King are comparable, then I'm not going to waste time entering a debate.

I didn't say they were the same. King was a problem off the field but the point I was trying to make was that he never really lived up to the hype. I think that even if Marshall had stayed healthy he would have not lived up to the hype.

I agree

I agree Sony is just too good being the "Reggie bush" type guy that pulling him away from that hurt on top of losing Chubb. Douglas and Keith should get more carries the rest of the way if you would give Chubb 25 carries during the game split those between them 12-14 each.

No way should Douglas or Marshall be getting nearly as many carries as Sony. I know we liked him in the "Reggie Bush" role, but you give your best running back the majority of the carries. The reason Reggie didn't carry the ball 25 times a game was because they also had a Heisman winner at QB and a couple stud WRs.
Sony's good enough to be the #1 guy and we need to be ok sacrificing the drop off in his ypc to make sure Douglas and Marshall arent carrying the ball 15-20 times a game total.

We just can't pound him between the tackles like we did with Gurley and Chubb. Not because he's small and can't take the hits - he just doesn't have the vision to get the production we need. He is best in space.

Keith Marshall hasn't been given enough carries yet to show us anything.
I hope that changes.

Have you seen his Freshman highlights?

Yeah wow. And let's let Douglas get the majority of carries now because Sony is too good at being used less

I agree Sony is better off tackle, but what do you want to do?
Let Marshall and Douglas run between the tackles? Sony's pretty clearly better than both of those guys between the tackles.
