Blankenship will transfer if not rewarded a scholly?

According to his dad, that may be the case. I don't see how he doesn't deserve one. A reliable kicker with 4 years of eligibility is worth a scholly we may use on a 5'8 receiver.

Hot Rod for sure deserves one, but if my dad was out there doing this I would be crawling under the nearest boulder to get away from Kirby.

For sure not the way to go about getting your son's college paid for.

I get that Mr. Blankenship is in a tough situation and is just being a parent, but what Smart said is entirely reasonable.

Give it to him. We might be witnessing the birth of a legend.

I legend we've been missing since the departure of The Great Logan Grey.

He has already earned it, give it to him

There is no upside to giving him a scholarship now vs. December/January. UGA gets full information, and he can't get financial aid until next semester anyway.

What is the downside? The school loses some tuition loot? Anything else?

He'll get a scholly at the end of the year barring a complete collapse.

1) The school can't actually put him on scholarship until the next semester starts, so Blankenship wouldn't actually gain anything financially.

2) What if he goes into a slump? He lost the kicker job out of camp. I hope he keeps his roll going obviously, but that's not guaranteed.

Exactly; dad's extortion is kind of lame

It makes his dad look really bad. It is clearly about him not wanting/not being able to pay tuition. If he just came out and said that, I would respect it more. The fact that he starts out by making it seem like he's only looking for Rodrigo's wellbeing cheapens the whole thing, imo.

Why is it whenever there's an article bashing UGA, it happens to be written by Chip towers. No wonder Kirby hates this schmuck.

It's not a big secret the Chip Towers doesn't like Kirby Smart, and vice versa.

Academics. It's a damned shame. Choates loved being a Dawg.

I know he's not practicing to spend more time studying but has he actually had his scholly removed?
