Bring this up , because someone in this board was making an arse of them selves claiming to know more about a scholly's and being unlimited except in the fall. 85 is a hard number period. Sucks for RB

I'd be surprised if he doesn't have one come August though.

I'm here.

The article states that the issue is counting against the 25 in 2017 class. That and he would be guaranteed a scholarship on the 85 in the fall if he's still on the team.

Nothing new in the article that we didn't already know.

Look when 70% of your kickoffs are returnable that's a problem.

If we are going to give a scholly to a PK it should be a kid that is consistent in all AREAS of the PK game....EPs, FGs, and KOs. I like the kid but until he can prove he can put it in the endzone on KOs at a much higher rate than 36% then NOOOOOOOO SCOLLY FOR YOU.

His kickoffs are atrocious and his range is limited. I don't he is in position to demand a scholly right now. I would take another preferred walk-on if he wants to bolt.

What his inconsistent KOs aren't fricking up, his dad is by singing the blues to Chip Towers, et al.. Kirby's not going to blink, and he shouldn't.

Auburn has a kid coming (Younger brother of the current AU PK) that is ranked #2 overall in PK. Here is the kicker though...no pun intended, he is ranked #24th best in the country in PUNTING. Don't think he missed an EP in his entire HS career. Range of 50+ on FG. Has boomed KO's as far as 85 yards.

So if we are going to blow a scholly on kicker and I believe we should, it should be for a kid like this. Amazing kicker and would definitely be a legit back up punter or could even handle the punting duties as well.

I appreciate Wild Thing stepping up this year but this is a business.

His dad's new manifesto of bitching is really helping Rodrigo's case, I'm sure.

If anything, his new tirade in the Macon Telegraph basically assured that Rodrigo won't get a scholarship. It sets a very bad precedent.

Rodrigo's daddy is an embarrassment to daddy's everywhere, especially for daddy's that understand sports. If I were Kirby I would go find a capable kicker and being them in and tell Rodrigo to go find somewhere else to play.

These are the kind of daddy's that have ruined rec leagues, middle school sports, and high school teams.

I just hate the fricking negative attention it is bringing to our program.

There are plenty of transfers this year...some of them quite good ball players....hop on that train.

Kick rocks, UGA will survive with or without Rodrigo.

Sucks, but true. They are not gonna waste a scholy on a kicker when space is limited and we could potentially spend it on someone who actually plays on the field for more then 30 seconds a game.

with that said, I do think if we are going to waste a scholy on a kicker, it needs to be someone who fricking is worth it. Specs is not. But if he has a 3.75 gpa, he should be able to get some academic scholys.
