was how well CKS handled the environment, his QB, and the clock in the waning minutes of the 4th quarter after his shitty kicker let us all down....his poise set us up for that opportunity to come back...CMR would have fricked that all up...way to lead CKS...way to lead!

Eason gave Ham a little pep talk before the last PAT kick

It might have been ugly at points, but he never let the guys believe that quitting was an option. Previous GA teams cannot say the same thing.

CKS has done nothing but come back to win ballgames.

I feel like Richt came up short almost every time in that scenario.

Agree completely. Overall, the way the team never gave up gave me the most hope. Any team can play badly or start out slowly, but the character of the team shows in how (or if) they finish the drill. That was the motto in the past and I think it never really came to fruition on the field. I hope we see our teams compete for 60 minutes going forward.

This is the biggest difference I have seen thus far.

CKS ability to close out games regardless of how it has been going. Very Alabama esk.

Agree. Very impressed with Coach Smart so far.

I suspect we will. Even when this time isn't doing well, it hasn't shown much give-up yet.

The team seems more disciplined under Kirby. Initially, I thought changing Dawg Walk was a mistake but I've changed my mind.

The winning TD to McKenzie was my favorite play but the game wasn't iced until Trenton Thompson tackled Brisco to eliminate the chance of a turnover. Trent really impressed me with that intelligent play.

We would be 0-3 or 1-2 if CMR was still the coach.

No way.

I believe Georgia would also be 3-0 if Richt was still the coach, and the Nicholls State game wouldn't have been close.

No way we win that unc game without Eason, who would have been 3rd string under richt.

I disagree with this.

Of all of Richts faults - Eason was his boy and he'd have started immediately. Our line and defense would've sucked balls - but Eason would've started.

Why won't you guys just leave Richt alone?

Because WLOCP '12 and LSU '13 were literally the last times since the original Auburn Blackout in 2007 that the team was adequately prepared to compete for 60 minutes against teams who were better than us.

Auburn wasn't better than us in 2007. Florida probably was, as was GT in 2009.

Okay, I'll concede a little bit of hyperbole, but my overarching point is that even without going to the books to mine statistics against ranked teams during the last 10 years while in Athens - you shouldn't be able to count CMR's significant wins against better teams on one hand.

How bout we go back 3 years? In '13 we beat the #5 and #12 and if not for a miracle we beat the #2 ranked team and in '14 we went 4-1 vs ranked teams, losting in double overtime to top 10 ranked GT.

Some the revisionism about CMR on here boarders on the sociopathic.
