I pull for Detroit for sure. I also liked Seattle years ago when they took David Greene and one of my favorite hats is a Seahawks ball cap. I had mine before they were trendy. I could like Jacksonville, being that they are jokingly referred to as the "southernmost city in Georgia".....but by the looks of things, I'm not sure how long they'll remain there. Growing up, I liked the Panthers, but given our divisional rivalry, it's always been hard to root for them. I could have easily been on board with the Chargers had they gotten Gurley. The Rams....I'll just have to suck it up and be glad he didn't go to the Browns.

PS: Amari Cooper's career is officially over.

It's more about pulling for dawgs in the NFL vs pulling for an actual team. I'll watch the falcons buy don't get pissed when they lose. It's been fun watching Moreno come out of the woodwork.

I used to watch the braves. Last year was the first year I did not watch a single braves game. I think Fredi killed my spirit.

Nah, man. Bud Dupree had a better combine. Production be damned!

Dafuq are you talking about?

Beasley combine: LINK

Dupree combine: LINK

Dupree only did 3 of the 6 measurables, and he ran 3/10th's of a second slower than Beasley in the 40. He also ran a slower 20y-shuttle and 3-cone than Beasley in his pro-day.

Beasley also lifted 225# more than any other pass rusher (36x) and he also had the fastest 10-yard split of any pass rusher since Von Miller.

Get your shite right.

Edit: I'm just realizing that you were being sarcastic. My bad!

I think he's done that to a lot of people.

Guy is a beast no doubt. The super athletic players for their size are obviously the future of football. Eventually we will have genetic engineering players being recruited when their 5 years old.

Beasley is a part time player that has question marks which is unacceptable at #8.

The Falcons should have traded with WAS because Scherff would have still been on the board and did the RIGHT thing by giving up a couple of 4ths to get Leonard Williams.

The Jags aint going nowhere. Shad Kahn has pretty much taken over J-ville and has big plans for the city.

Hop on the bandwagon now cause its going to be full real soon.

Oh, I'll still support them, no worries. Would have been fine with Gurley going there, too.

I'm talking about people screaming to take Dupree because he's an athletic freak. It was sarcasm. I have no idea how Vic did in the combine

A lot of butt hurt in this thread. You guys should be happy with Beasley, he's exactly what the Falcons needed and Dimitroff didn't get fleeced in a trade to move up like you all know he would have.

Not everyone can get Shane Ray at 23

How the hell is 1,421 snaps, 48 games played, and 25 starts (every game his junior and senior year) considered "part time"??

College games average 60-70 snaps, so about 35 defensive snaps on average per game.

12x35=420, or 455 with a bowl game. He played in 48 games and averaged 30 snaps per game.

He played 1,421 fricking snaps, got 52 tackles for loss, 33 sacks (25 in his last 2 years), 29 QB pressures, 11 pass breakups, 7 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries(both TD's), in addition to 90 tackles. Which means 58% of his tackles went for a loss.

"Part time and question marks..." my arse. Please, explain these so called question marks and exactly how 30 snaps a game is some how part time.

I love Sport Science, but sometimes they throw stuff in there just to add more numbers to the clip. "When maneuvering around the obstacle, Beasley lowered his center of gravity by 20%!"

He wasn't very good against the run. That's the only knock I've heard on Beasley.

Yea on the draft after his pick Gruden showed video of him giving up on plays when he was at the point of attack if he would have just kept playing hard. There was one where he basically backed out of the way instead of diving into the pile to make a tackle

Just looking at his junior and senior year...

25 starts, 75 tackles, 45 tackles for loss, and 25 sacks.

If you subtract the 25 sacks from his 45 TFL's and 75 tackles, that's 20 TFL's and 50 tackles.

He's obviously tackling somebody when he's not sacking the QB. And MOST of his tackles come behind the line for a loss.

The kid is a playmaker. I'll take 1 sack and 2 or 3 TFL's per game any day of the damn week.

I believe he's referring to the number of snaps where Beasley "took off".....in other words, he doesn't go hard every play. It was discussed during the draft show last night.

If "not going hard every play" STILL gets 33 sacks, 52 TFL's, 11 pass breakups, and 7 forced fumbles, I'LL TAKE IT.

Hell, if that's what he can do taking plays off, imagine what he may do if he doesn't.
