Georgia’s Faton Bauta is working at safety in practice this week and that’s not a ruse, according to coach Mark Richt.

Guess that means Lambert is back?

We are a joke program right now

I think he wants to see how far he can go before the AD steps in.

Next we'll hear about Sony running with the DTs

Doesn't surprise me at all seeing as how we started Bauta just to see if the information would leak out before game time and not based on any actual football decision

I wouldn't be surprised it Bauta was out there, but Richt isn't as nice as everybody makes him out to be. I wouldn't be surprised if he screws with the media from here on out.

Richt letting him practice at safety so he can see what it is like to intercept the ball instead of throwing an interception. That's all.

Bauta asked to play safety for the scout team. Doesn't mean he will play in the game in that position.

While this did actually happen, I hope you realize that this thread is very tongue in check

But then again you have been bashing everyone lately so its not surprising. Lighten up Nancy

CMR's attempts at humor or whatever are not being well received by Bulldog Nation.

I get it that Bauta asked to do it. However that sounds like a recipe for disaster. Get him hurt and then you are down to two that can take a snap. If Bauta wants to stay in shape, well there is this thing, and it's called conditioning.

I think Bauta will long snap next game.

Should add an amazing wrinkle to our punt game.

Donovan Woods at OK State around 2004 played QB and then started at safety IIRC.
