Their shows are awesome. Don't think I'll be able to make that one, but Georgia Theatre will be a great venue for them

My favorite band and this'll be only my 2nd time seeing them. They're starting off their world tour in Athens, at the Georgia Theatre, two weeks after they release their new album. Going to be wild

Taking a Maymester so I will definitely be there. Never seen them live, but really like their stuff.

I saw them with wilco and Dylan a few summers ago, had never heard them before them. Great band.
I might have to head that way. How much are tix? Also can you round up anything else?

tix are $36 so probably around $40 with bullshite fees. Pretty reasonable for a band I never thought would come to the Theatre

I've never heard one of their songs, but based on their name and my opinion of people I've known who liked MMJ, I must pre-judge them to be shite.

Damn just now looking at the spring slate at ga theater im pumped for some of these shows. being this close now ima try and make alot of em. didnt get anywhere near the live music in last year i normally do

war on drugs - Apr 2nd. def wont miss
run the jewels - Apr 4th. would def like to go but doubt i can

and young the giant so far for october. might catch that one

I was in a band in 2007 and we tried to set up a show with them in Athens. They weren't big, hadn't actually released anything other than a few tracks on Myspace. Facebook wasn't facebook yet.
They had maybe 500 friends on myspace. One of whom was our drummer.
Point being, we weren't trying to set up a show with Paul McCartney.
So they agree, we book the show at a club in Athens.
Two weeks before the show, they cancel and say they had a previous engagement.
So then we are on the hook to fill the bill. We had already been promoting it in print and around town, back before social media was the sole source of promotion.
That's bad fricking business. Put me in a bad spot.
Unprofessional.
