Those are completely different situations. There's obviously no rule book when it comes to dealing punishment but making one kid stare at a wall by himself is in the same ball park as what Mike Leach did a few years ago.
I'm at a loss here. No it's not. Not even close.

There can be absolutely no way you even remotely believe this....I hope you didn't graduate from UGA. What an embarrassment to my degree if you did. I'm guessing sidewalk fan, at least hoping

Wims getting a 15 yard penalty doing a backflip in the end zone is disrespectful to the entire team.

Before exiting.....
Check who's running with the first group on the offensive line this week. Things could get shaken up after the scrimmage. You never know.

I think Kirby mentioned Andrew Thomas worked a lot with the 1's at RT during the scrimmage. Is that what you mean, Americus? Or something else?

Yes sir. Again, not anything groundbreaking, but a few folks had a really good scrimmage. One on the line in particular. We'll see if it translates to any kind of shuffle or not.

chew the kid out and punish him.
He did punish him. How were you punished?
I'm not old, I am 24 as a matter of fact. I played high school football in South GA, I promise you I wish we would have got to "stare at the wall" when we screwed up.
I was one of those kids that, when I got my arse beat by my parents, it didn't do as good as when they embarrassed me in front of my friends. Or when they made me sit in the corner when I was little. My kids are the same way. You can tear their asses up, but they will be doing the same thing in 5 minutes, but if you embarrass them in front of friends, or make them stay in the room with no tv, that's when they think twice about doing it the next time.

Punishment, Discipline or Disrespect?
Ol Webster defines it:
Punishment - the infliction or imposition of a penalty as retribution for an offense.
Discipline - the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience.
Disrespect - lack of respect or courtesy; disrespect for authority.
If anyone showed disrespect, it was Wims. He is a kid and wanted to celebrate. However, Kirby was disciplining (punishment to correct disobedience/disrespect) to set the tone. Scrimmages are the closest thing they will have to a game. Reinforcement of what has been preached (don't be Rico) during the offseason is necessary for certain individuals who lack self-control

Is someone not happy because CMR wouldn't have done it that way?

Came in to view insider scoop on scrimmage...
Instead get 2 pages of some snowflake bitching about Kirby disciplining a kid last scrimmage..

So what the frick happened at the scrimmage?
Posted on 8/22/17 at 8:00 am to TrackDawg
The players apparently sat around and talked about if Kirby's form of discipline was constructive or not, and apparently a few them got PTSD.

A few names-
Eason, Manac, Speed, Nick/Sony, Carter, Thompson.
Crumpton can play. Will play.
Nauta/Woerner
Wild Dawg
No injuries
Wouldn't be surprised at a very young offensive line.
Interested to see report today on offensive line. This week will tell a lot.
Everything online gets back to Kirby. Laugh if you want. I think it's hilarious myself.
He wasn't happy after the first scrimmage.

Most stared into the sun. Some trick Saban did on college football.
