Where are all my insiders at? Who stood out during the scrimmage?

I heard Kirby was a meanie and everyone got bummed out. Season's over before it even started.

Heard no one had to stand in the corner, jodeaux could be heard from the 600 level cheering after the scrimmage because the coaches weren't meanie heads

The coaches can be mean, I don't care but to make someone stare in the corner is freaking bizarre.

He's lucky Wims didn't make a stink about it, lord knows what would've happened given today's society.

I know you're just trolling, but let's take this a step further. In your mind what exactly could you potentially see happening, "given today's society"?

I'll play along. Public humiliation can be scarring to a young man and can actually cause PTSD. He's a lucky snowflake that he was even able to go to practice the following day because he was up all night having nightmares.

As compared to the first scrimmage, Kirby has tightened the leash on info.
What I saw and read was very positive, especially on some young guys.

What Americus said...his post scrimmage presser seemed a little shorter than normal and seemed like he took fewer questions and answered with more coach speak than usual.

We live in a PC culture that would view the treatment of the player by a white coach unfavorably.

No, I am not trolling when I say making someone look in a corner is useless and stupid.

As I've said a million times, chew the kid out and punish him. I'm more concerned about team morale than I am in Wims ability to bounce back.

I know there are worse punishments but Kirby better be careful about abusing that power of the team will check out. It's happened before, some coach named Muschamp?

Have you been around any kind of athletic team in the last 20 years?

Yes, I have. I get the sense most of the posters on this board are probably a little older, so I respect your opinion but it's outdated.

You're useless and stupid.

Good luck coming back from that one.

I'm not older by any means. The Kirby thing with Wims would not have been particularly out of the ordinary at varsity high school practices, and SEC football is a lot more intense than that.

What is the fricking point of making a kid stare at a wall? Please tell me how that does anything extra to remedy the situation that an arse-chewing and stadiums couldn't.

Public shaming. Not a whole lot different than making the whole team run sprints while the dude who fricked up sits on the sideline and watches.

ETA: Or just throwing a kid out of practice. That happens relatively frequently.

Those are completely different situations. There's obviously no rule book when it comes to dealing punishment but making one kid stare at a wall by himself is in the same ball park as what Mike Leach did a few years ago. We'll agree to disagree, but it just seemed disrespectful. Millionaire coaches can punish kids but should never disrespect them and cross that line.

Bet he'd of enjoyed staring at that wall more then running the lower bowl for 45 or so minutes.
Example was set because this guy is supposed to be a leader on the team and set no example at all..... Besides catching a perfect pass
He'd preferably stare at a wall in August, then the bench in November.

He'll become another Rumph quick if he doesn't focus. Has NFL potential, so it's aggravating to see.
