Losing 58-0 will do that to a guy

Good luck with whoever gets that shite show job.Facilities suck, attendence is bad and the school doesn't have much to spend.

Hard to sell the "close to home" angle with local kids these days

Yeah it should. But according to many on this board, there is NO way Golden should be fired (I am must applying their logic here) because it could be worse.

Keep him, and squat and shake in the corner from fear of the unknown.

Careful what you wish for. If Richt goes to Miami, what makes you think Eason and several other key recruits won't follow him to The U? Lots of receiver talent in south Florida.

What if Eason can't transition from a spread QB to a pro set pocket passer? Will this be another Ramsey situation in a couple of years?

I didn't wish for anything, just applying the logic on this thread to the Miami situation. Using that logic, you JUST CANNOT CAN THE GUY. It could be worse. After all, he was 4 - 3 with a loss to FSU by 5 and Cincy by 11. Not that bad.

But you bring up a great point for the ones squatting in the corner -

It could be worse AND all the recruits would shoo. Can't have that. Which brings it full circle. You can't fire the guy - they be inviting disaster. Or maybe, just maybe, improvement - imagine that.

You can't just manage short, you have to manage short and long.

I am as excited as anyone to see Eason come to Georgia. Would love it.

I also think Georgia has no reason to let a 18 year old kid dictate it's future.

we should fire Richt because Golden sucked and got the ever living shite beat out of him and Miami isn't afraid?

You never know for sure if a recruit will live up to his billing but Eason is a very different quarterback than Ramsey was coming out of high school. Aside from the fact that Ramsey played in a run oriented offense, Eason has all the attributes of a pro style QB. He make reads extremely well and has a high level of accuracy in addition to an elite arm.

Other than a strong arm, Ramsey has none of those things.

It might take Eason some time to transition to the college game (as it did with Stafford) but he sure looks like the real deal.

No, it is just the logic is faulty and ill applied.

Do you think Miami should fire Golden and UGA not Richt?

If so, compare and contrast using the increasingly favorite scared logic.

And I already know where you will land.
