1. Love the new Wildcat wrinkle. I think we'll be able to throw from that at least once this week and it could lead to a huge play against Auburn.

2. Brendan Douglas needs to not see the field again on a meaningful down. I know he's our third down back for pass protection and/or receiving, but we've seen that he doesn't have the receiving ability and yesterday his blocking from the RB position was some of the worst I've seen as far as picking up blitzes goes. He completely whiffed multiple times, and then once he went to block an already blocked player leaving the linebacker a clean path to hit Greyson. Keith has shown enough skill that he needs to be getting all of the reps where Sony isn't in the game.

3. I know it was just UK, but our defense just keeps improving and I'm starting to believe we need to do anything we can to keep Pruitt. Leonard Floyd didn't have a sack yesterday, but he was an absolute monster getting to the QB and made Towles throw the ball away, or make bad decisions multiple times. Dominick Sanders is all over the field, and even though he made a mistake not getting down on his first pick, he's one of the best players we've had at finding the ball on defense that I can remember.

4. Malcolm Mitchell. It's kind of a shame that we're not going to appreciate him as much as we should over time because of our QB play this year, but that guy is a special player. I feel like he catches everything that comes his way, and once he gets the ball in his hands he just makes plays. I hope he goes on to have a great NFL career because he is an absolute stud.

5. Mark, I love you, but you have to make better coaching decisions sometimes.
Option 1: Getting the ball back with 1:45 and 1 timeout
Option 2: Getting the ball back with 1:10 and 2 timeouts

For some reason Mark chose option number 2 and I just can't comprehend how someone that makes that much money can make such a poor decision. It also ended up working out, but how much do you not have to trust your offensive line to not go for it on 4th and a half yard from your opponent's 6 yard line. We also need to hire a special teams coach or something because our ST outside of Brice just continues to regress. I know half of UK's team was offsides on their pooch kick recovery (it was called back), but teams have done this to us repeatedly for the last 5 years and we haven't learned. Marshall Morgan has regressed tremendously and his form is just horrendous. We're fortunate that it's only really hurt us in one game this season.

6. Kids played with heart and it showed they haven't quit on the coaches yet. I'm hoping they can use this momentum to go into Auburn and pull out a victory. Can't wait for next week.

Most predicted we would bounce back vs Kentucky. Our problem is competing against teams with equal or more talent.

This was all against the 3rd best CFB team in a basketball state. I'm glad we won but let's keep it in perspective.

Like people keep it in perspective after loses?

The game was just about how i thought I'd go. The offense was able to get in a rhythm for the first time in a long time and they got some needed confidence. The coaches didn't trip over themselves.

Jake Ganus has arguably been the team MVP this season.

I was just thinking that. We lost to an excellent, motivated Alabama team, and everybody melted like an ice cream cone on a hot August day. I realize we didn't look good....in fact we looked bad. But a VERY good LSU team had a ver similar score to ours. Our fans takeaway? LSU has a title contending team that could have made the playoffs. UGA is a dumpster fire.

Sometimes I hate our fan base. It really is embarrassing how we worry what other fan bases think of our program and allow their opinions dictate our own opinions.

He was an absolutely phenomenal pickup....and, if I recall correctly cost us a scholarship we had left over from the previous year. Is that right, or am I mistaken?

I agree that for the most part, Georgia's fan base is poor. I've seen too many grown men throwing hissy fits to respect most of them. You can show dissatisfaction without being a shite.

We lost by 28, they lost by 14. We have 3 losses, they have none. Hardly very similar.

you're quite the enigma. Sometimes you are even more of a downer than DGD, sometimes I find myself agreeing with you post after post.

You responded to the frame of mind of the fan bases after each of them lost to Bama. We had beaten USC, which at the time was a big win. I think the big difference is we didn't know how good Bama was when we played them.

True. I think the biggest difference is that LSU played them better than we did by 2 tds. You already pointed out another, and the uf win was viewed as a win over a quality team unlike sc, who had lost to uk before we played them.

We are no where near as good as LSU. I guess the point is we meltd down after Bama and though the game sucked, perhaps w didn't realize how damn good Bama was... And is.

We got "set up" so badly going into that game. Seemed like a practical joke, and then they pulled our pants down.
