The UGA 247 team all said Hinton is a better OL prospect than DL. However, his dad wants him on the defensive side. UGA was never really in the running, so nothing really to fret about

I'm being somewhat facetious fellas, hence the bagman comment. Can't expect to get everyone in the class, and certainly don't begrudge a kid for doing his thing. And I'm not one to melt, just kinda curious is all.

DawgPost saying the Dawgs should expect a "major" 2019 recruit to commit sometime this week. Anyone know who or have access to who? Goede is the only one that makes sense, but as good as I'm sure he is, I get the vibe it's someone bigger

Goede said he's gonna wait a while. If it's somebody bigger I hope it's Travon Walker, that gives us another big time interior DL committed for '19.

I knew he'd said that, but who ever knows? Pappoe has talked about potentially being ready, but that's never looked really good for us.

Kevin Harris, OLB out of Grayson, has been CB'd to UGA a couple of times in the last few days so he might be one to watch. Getting anybody out of Grayson in the '19 class would be a big W.

To be honest, I'm kinda hoping its Kenyatta Watson, just so we don't have to deal with his dad running his mouth against us. Plus it'd help us to be hooked up with the plug, himself

I read on another board that we told him to wait until next year and it set ole Kenyatta off again.

Wouldn't put it past him to throw a fit. Makes me smile actually. Also wouldn't bet those Grayson kids go to FSU and come back home to jobs.

Hey guys I'm curious to know how solid is Nolan Smith's commitment? Reason I ask is because I was at the IMG Chandler game, and my son is standing next to him during half time, trying to get a high five out of him, not mention my son is wearing a Georgia bulldog cap and saying "go Dawgs", which Nolan just looked at him with a blank stare. Seemed like a douche move not to give a simple high five to a little kid. A lot of the other players where slappin' five with the kids. Maybe I'm reading to much into, but just seemed a little entitled.

Could see him at Clemson for sure. Hate to hear that story about the kid regardless where he goes.

Bottom line, he committed too early. Think he waits to see how we and Clemson look this year.

I don't consider him a uga commitment. Why would anyone?

Nolan Smith is the softest commitment we've ever had. He's Xavier Thomas roommate, and obviously would rather follow than lead. I want him at UGA, but we'll be fine without him.

Yep, I'll do that in a little bit. Sorry for just now looking at this. Was coming in to post a Nolan Smith tweet from today

This was in response to the PFF SEC team of the week that had Lorenzo and Davin on it.

Nice. Good to see that. Things had been notably quiet on the Nolan Smith front. If we're able to hang on to him all the way to signing day 2019, that's a future star. Need some more big wins this year and more performances like we saw in South Bend from this D (the UF game stands out as a great time to rack up some stats).

And if we can get Devonte Watt back onboard, the current #1JUCO, the Dawgs got something brewing for the next few years at least. Top 5 class for 2018 and 2019

Wyatt is all but guaranteed at this point (4 to play 3). He's already said he's not taking any visits. He's not even going to take an OV to UGA per his last interview. We will still need at least one more DT in 2018 IMO but the upside there is we have a few in mind. I also am feeling better about our ability to take a project there given Scott's technique work thus far. Certainly have a lot more to prove this season as we enter SEC play, but our line appears to be very strong this year from a fundamentals standpoint (unless the hands to the face/facemasks continue forward... then we got problems).

Would love to see us get in the mix for a big time elite DT or two in 2019 though, given the attrition we're likely to see there over the next couple of seasons. Travon Walker looks to be a good chance for us for now. Not sure who else might be a possibility though. Actually, I guess we have a commit from 4* Rashad Cheney as well actually. Somewhere along the line I must have missed that. Those 2 would be a strong 2019 pair to grab at DT for sure.
