Blaylock told Rusty that he isn't taking anymore visits except to Georgia. He and Haselwood seem very solid.

Dom said his main recruiter is Dell McGee. Man we really need to do everything we can to keep him around for a while, wouldn't surprise me if he gets some good offers over the next couple of years.

#1 and #2 receivers for the class. This is huge.

Also doesn't hurt our chances with Fields. He will definitely have some serious WR talent to throw to.

So how long till we get Ryland Goede or some other commit to go from #2 to #1 in rankings? It will be before August

With Blaylock and Bertrand on board, Goede will commit soon.

It's a ways away, but if we can land the commits and hold onto those we have, in 2019 you'd be talking about:

QB-Fields or Fromm
RB- White, Cook, Swift, Herrien, Holyfield
WR- Holloman, Blaylock, Haselwood, Woerner
TE- Nauta (if he stays), Goede
LT- Andrews
LG- Salyer
C- Hill
RG- Netori Johnson
RT- Wilson

That might be the single most talented offense UGA will have ever fielded.

Weird. It's almost Aug and we have only 2 less commits for '19 than we do for '18. Does this mean that CKS is a blockbuster recruiter who can pick and choose and HS athletes understand this and are lining up for the future?

Honestly, I think Smart has had 2019 circled ever since he took the job. The top 10 players in the state of Georgia in 2019 is the most talented group in the modern recruiting era. 2017 was, and 2019 is, very deep with lots of quality athletes in-state. The same can't be said for 2018. Very good athletes at the top but lacks elite defensive linemen and overall depth. Still, I think that we'll land at least 4 of the top 10 players in the state, and that's still with us focusing on a lot of out of state players.

Do you think Woerner will move to TE full time.

Maybe in certain packages, but he's good enough of a route runner and athlete to be a big mismatch on the outside. I think he stays mainly at WR.

I have no doubt that Kirby will turn in a top 10 class for '18. Most of the class athletes that we want/need are still out there. I was just wondering out loud if the '19 players that have committed are seeing that Kirby is building something special and want to commit early to being a part of that.

I think its that they fell something special going on and they want to go ahead and be a part of it and get other guys to join them. BTW Nolan Smith tweeted about the Blaylock commitment. I'm surprised Hazelwood didn't say anything

Maybe he's being seduced by the dark side.

Just in case we lose out on Fields, I think we're still in good hands with the QBs on campus, but '19 will be critical to our future growth. Who do we have lined up under center for next year's class?

5* DT Christopher Hinton out of GAC commits to Michigan...making me hate Harbaugh that much more.

Side note; is it just me, or do we have a lot of trouble pulling kids from GAC? There's 4-5 guys in the past 3 years or so we've been linked heavily to and never been able to lock them down? Who is the bagman in that area? Because we may need a restructuring

His dad went to Northwestern, and played for three different NFL franchises. Yes, he apparently loved Atlanta and settled here, but that shows that he, nor his family has any roots in this state. Dont expect his kid to commit to Georgia when it probably wasnt a school named in his house hold until he got a letter from them.

Don't necessarily think Hinton is reflective of GAC. He grew up playing in the Johns creek program. He didn't switch to GAC until right before he started high school. Hinton has an advantage with his Dad being so experienced in the sports environment. As they say, recruiting isn't over until signing day.

The '19 class will be tough since there are so many top level recruits for that year. We could get a great class but have many great players commit to other schools. Lots of recruiting left to do.
