At one point he was a UGA lean, then UCLA, and most recently Florida.
Apparently a mod on UF's 247 site no longer thinks he's UF bound, and some folks are saying we're trending. He definitely would be a huge get.

I would also really love for Malik Zaire not to go to Florida.

It's a long way to go but a CB from a Miami insider is worth paying attention to.

He's at an 87% clip currently on predictions including Joe Milton to Michigan so I like the vote of confidence from him.

I'm not familiar with this guy. Who is he and what position does he play? I can't find anything about him.

Transfer QB from Notre Dame. Had previously narrowed list to Wisconsin and UNC. Now says its between Texas and a "mystery team". Wouldn't be shocked if the Gators end up getting him considering he's putting off his decision until after SEC spring meetings. Small sample size but he did beat LSU in the Music City Bowl - playing due to injury.

UGA received a CB for 6'8 400lb OT Daniel Faalele (IMG, Bradenton, FL). Currently he's ranked as a 3 star, but he's only been playing for a year or so. They say his potential is off the charts, as is his size. All of the top schools have offered so it seems they feel the same way.

Gimme Teague, Zeus, Johnson, Faalele and watch Hill and Salyer fall in place

Add in guys like Josh Vann (UGA/SCAR battle), Marquez Ezzard, Trey Dean, Kearis Jackson, and a few OOS prospects, we're looking at a class ranked somewhere between 5th-8th. I still think we flip Cox, Adam Anderson or Justin Mascoll. I seriously doubt all 3 go OOS. JMO

The biggest question mark IMO is at QB. We've offered 20+ guys, and we're looking to take 2 this cycle. Is Emory Jones still in play? Or Justin Fields? I doubt it, but I have no clue who fills that 2 spots.

I think we have to get Fields. Feels like a Watson loss if he ends up at PSU. Hell, he might even help our baseball team become relevant again

I don't think Fields ends up at Penn State, but I don't think he ends up at UGA either. I hate to say it, but I think he lands at Florida. He still seems upset that we neglected him in favor of Trevor Lawrence. I do think he'll have a Deshaun Watson impact, so we agree on that.

I agree Fields will be a star, I thought we should've offered him even before TLaw made his commitment.

I knew that. I was thinking along the lines of recruit and not transfer. DOH!
Thanks, donjuanjones.

Fields told Keith Niebuhr that he grew up an Auburn fan and that he really likes Chip Lindsey.

Guess whose 7 on 7 team he plays for?

Cam Newton's.

If Gus has a mediocre season, his appreciation for Chip Lindsey won't matter because they'll both be unemployed. The guys on 247 say Florida is the team to watch

Oh I agree on Florida.

I was just pointing out how convenient it is for Auburn that Cam Newton has such a close relationship with him.

I've always thought there was a conflict of interest with Cam 7-on-7 team. It's obviously a funnel to the shadiest school in the nation, Auburn

LB Donovan Georges decommited this morning. It was expected to happen. It's not a huge loss, based off his #790 ranking in the nation. UGA is back to 2 commits.
