When did Breon Dixon transfer to Grayson/why? I knew Deangelo Gibbs did, but I had no idea Dixon did, too.

Yeah, both profiles say Grayson. Could mean really good things, they seem conjoined.

Bama is taking 3 running backs?

Very possible. 2-3 years ago they took Derrick Henry, Alvin Kamara, Atlee Tennpenny and Tyren Jones. Everybody thought Bama could not be stopped. Only Henry got any meaningful playing time. And that's a point nobody ever makes about Alabama #1 classes. They were #1 that year, but only one of those 4* and 5* players got meaningful playing time.

Saw this yesterday and was almost sure it was here but I guess not. Good lookin' out.
Interesting offer... you think we are seriously considering as a possible QB, or more likely as a WR? Would be nice to have a guy to play the role of mobile QB in practice... I assume we've had to use RBs and WRs that used to play QB in high school in years past to simulate.

Here's a question I have about this next recruiting cycle:

What does Kirby do with Dawgnight? Does he do anything different? Does he do it at all?

What about what used to be the CMR camp? Or the 7 on 7 tournaments?

Very interested to see how he manages all of this, especially considering we won't have our usual practice facility to use this Summer

All very good points/questions. I don't think Alabama did anything like that, did they? I mean...they really didn't have to. We still have a couple of guys that were here, so they could get it on the road if Kirby so chooses. Good questions, though.

good question about the CMR camp and 7 on 7s, but why would kirby do away wiht dawgnight? It's definitely one of our biggest recruiting weekends of the entire year and we seem to always have success with getting a commit or 2.

In fairness, regular camps have similar success.

Camps and 7on7 tourneys aren't going anywhere. Necessary part of the evaluation process. No idea on DawgNight

I'm really just curious where they're going to hold them. Just use the intramural fields like they did in the past? Move it to South Milledge? Use Sanford?

I would bet Mecole can do that if he signs with the good guys tomorrow. He was pretty solid as an mobile QB in HS.

In all of the highlights I saw, it seemed more like wildcat than true QB... might just not have seen enough, but most of the highlights with him at QB were electric runs, didn't see a lot of scramble/pocket movement and then hitting receivers, which would be important from a practice standpoint. (Also, do we know if we're projecting him at WR or DB? I would love to see us pick one, stick with it from a primary standpoint and maybe have 1-2 packages that he comes in on O for).

Agreed that location is a big question. My guess is it's some combination of the locations listed in another post above. Don't see any reason to do away with Dawgnight unless Kirby has some idea that he feels would be more effective. Camps/7-on-7 will likely continue, but as stated, location will be a question mark.

We're 365 days until NSD, so I wouldn’t be too concerned. With that said, Gibbs and Warriors relationship should win out. I wouldn’t count out Kirby here. And don’t forget, Dixon followed Gibbs to Grayson so he’ll be in his ear for the next year.
