Yes he is too good of a talent to not be on the field somewhere. At CB or Safety even if he had a great spring and fall camp it would be difficult to earn a starting position given the depth and amount of incoming talent that will be here over the summer.

He also played in AAA compared to Fromm who was in AAAAA.

m not concerned at this point but no matter how talented Wynn may be, no major program should have a 6-2 left tackle.

From Emerson today...

"I'm the left tackle" Wynn said after Saturday's spring practice, adding a "yes sir" for emphasis.

Looks like the LT spot is locked in. RT should be a battle with Wilson, Bynum, Cleveland, Hayes and co.

Ummm...we're 5 months away from a real game.

But the point remains...guys like Hayes, I. Wilson, and Andrew Thomas were signed to address the lack of any true left tackles in the program.

Wynn will make a fine guard for some offense in the NFL. But as long as he continues to step on the field as a tackle for UGA, it only continues to prove that the old regime hadn't recruited a top-tier tackle in a long time (as evidenced by Kendall Baker, Pat Allen, Aulden Bynum and others that all seem to be too slow of foot or have some other deficiency).

Let's hope that Wynn is holding down the fort until one of the new guys is SEC ready. If we want to play with the big boys, we need to be recruiting offensive linemen like the '17 class every year.

There are bad teams at every level. As you move up in classification the the amount of depth increases but not necessarily the actual talent level of the kids.

Mecole has been running pass routes from the slot. I like this.

Wynn is up to 305 and says he feels stronger and more stable at LT.

Which means that Fromm faced a tougher schedule.

Idk, It's really impossible to say because the same rule may not apply to Washington high school football.

Looking at their schedule, Valdosta was great. Their defense was really strong and really fast. They are the closest Houston County was to a college defense.

I'll say this about South Georgia football, they have a pro style mentality in that play man defense all game long say here we are beat us. They pride themselves on having better athletes on the perimeter than their opponent.

Generally, man defense is easier to beat than zone. Colleges mix it up a lot and esp. with freshman they will play a lot of zone and rotate the safeties because most kids can't read zone defenses out of high school.

I don't know Jake Fromm but I've been around him. I am pretty sure he used to train and was taught how to play by Mike Bobo's Dad.

Knowing what George Bobo teaches, Fromm will be as fundamentally sound as any Freshman QB in the country. Maybe he was better than JE out of high school, I don't think so but it's not impossible, I would highly doubt Fromm understands how to read coverages particularly well right now and his ability to go through read progressions will probably be pretty slow because the defenses will play much faster.

JE still has a year of playing with the speed of the college game is is more acclimated.

Unfortunately no matter how strong he gets, he's barely 6-2. The prototype LT has Wynn's quickness on a 6-5 to 6-7 frame. With another 15-25 lbs of bulk, too.

and Hutson Mason broke all kinds of record in high school.

Who gives a shite about high school stats? The kid is a 2* walk on for a reason, and its not because of his height.

He is discriminated against because of his height.

I bet Stetson Bennett is better than Eason or Fromm.

Below is a list of 5* and 4* QBs 6'0 or smaller in the past three cycles. Thats not even counting 3*.

This isnt the NFL. There is no discrimination on this kid because of his height. He's a walk on for a reason, and its not because of how tall he is.

2017:
Tate Martell 5'10
Avery Davis 5'11
Braxton Burmester 6'0

2016:
Brandn McLlwain 6'0

2015:
Brady White 6'0
Kyler Murray 5'10
De'Andre Johnson 6'0

Exactly.

This kid sounds like the new Hutson Mason. Message board legend. Remember when everyone swore he'd be better than Murray halfway through 2012?

From looking at his 247 page, it looks like he camped in Miami and Baltimore for the Nike Regionals, yet he wasnt named as one of the best QBs. Not Elite 11 invite. Definitely better than Eason or Fromm.

I might would have said he was underrated if he didnt camp because there are always guys that dont camp and get overlooked(Devonte Wyatt), but that wasnt the case with Bennett.

Hell, even Khari Lane from Montezuma even got a scholarship from a Power 5 school(Arizona), and he looks nothing like a QB. He's like 6' 230 pounds.

Who will be the top three WRs for next season? Wims, Godwin, and Holloman?

I'd imagine Chigbu will be in the rotation early on (kill me now).

I think Wims has potential to have a star-caliber year.
