Early reports via Anthony Dasher's Twitter (@AnthonyDasher1):
-Smart says Ramsey will help with Spring QB drills despite transferring.
-Mecole Hardman "will get some offensive snaps" but "not this Spring" whatever the frick that means.
-Gaillard will start Spring as the Center, but Dyshon Sims will get some snaps there as well. (RG is up for grabs)
-McGee, LeCounte, Gibbs and Parrish will be the main competitors for the "Star" position.
-Ridley will receive "internal discipline" but no suspension mentioned.
-No more departures expected after Ramsey and Wilkerson.
Football time fellas!

Yeah he's gonna miss game 1, there is no way around it. If you change the policy; it has to be for all student athletes. I don't believe they'll go down that road considering how much a big deal was made a few years ago about UGA having the strongest stance in the country. That made the program look good.
It's not up to Smart.

No it didn't. Most people just saw how many players we had suspended. Your average fan isn't comparing discipline policies.

This. Now that the SEC and the NCAA have basically indicated they have no intent to normalize policies similar to what we have, we simply look worse due to having to disclose how many players get suspended for drugs (typically marijuana). There is no upside even from a public perception standpoint.

Oh Yeah! Lets do this

We need a sticky "We Talkin' Bout Practice" thread for the next three weeks. I'm interested in the tidbits that come out daily, it would be great to have it all in one thread I can check into every two days or so.

We can just make it this one. I probably won't provide all the updates daily, but I'll change the title and folks can post whatever they're reading.
We do have a lot of stickies as it is though

It made us look retarded, and it did lead to a change from 6 games on 2nd offense to 4.

Give Me Cole the gd ball. He ain't just some regular ol jack leg I've seen what he can do with my own eyes, and brothers, it's impressive

So you think Ridley plays game 1.
I promise you he won't!
The policy will not change.

No. That doesn't make us look good.

FWIW Lorenzo Carter said he's around 250 lbs, played last year at 230.

Mecole will be a defensive player, and may play some offensive sets. Until the new freshmen report in June, Mecole will learn the defense. Then Smart will work him in some of the offense as more defensive players need field time.
Don't look for Mecole on offense much, and then probably only 2 or 3 plays a game. Probably Wild Dawg style plays with the other team expecting a run all the way.

This is the most asinine play in CFB. Trot in the runner once a series to take a snap when everyone in the stadium knows what they're going to do.

Gives a numbers advantage to the offense and most definitely not asinine.

It had more to do with who is calling the play and when. Chaney does this shite at crucial moments in the game when we only need a couple yards and it always fails. See auburn pick in the endzone last year

Also for the shite to work, a back taking a direct snap, the line has to....you know....fricking block someone.
Our Oline last year was 50% the issue with our offense..followed by freshamn QB, handsy WRs and Chaney sucking a fat one at the worst times.

Mind telling Kirby? He apparently hasn't seen what you have

That's why it never worked for bobo. You must be a threat to pass for it to work, and he never understood that.
