"Well, that guy sure as hell isn't coming to Rutgers. I'll pick an SEC team at random and really give those hillbillies a scare!"

More than likely just looked at the percentage on picks and selected the leading team

UGA commit to bring two 4-stars to Dawg Night...

quote:

Cornerback Malek Young is a solid commitment to Georgia. How solid? The rising senior plans to bring something special to UGA’s elite “Dawg Night” prospect camp that few other recruits can match.

Young will have a pair of 4-star teammates from Florida’s Coconut Creek High School in tow on July 18. Trayvon Mullen is rated the No. 4 cornerback in the country by the 247sports composite. Binjimin Victor – a raw 6-foot-4 receiver — is No. 10 at his position on that same scale. Those two are hyper-athletic. They’ve been known to spontaneously back-flip across the field during 7-on-7 camps this summer.

That is terrific. Only part of that article I didn't like...
quote:

“He’s a super-talented athlete but because he plays in South Florida and there are so many good players he’s not as valued as he would be if he played somewhere else,” Reid said. “He would be at least a four-star or five-star kid if he played in Georgia or South Carolina.

His coach thinks that South Florida athletes are that much better than Georgia's (wrong) and that Georgia and South Carolina have similar athletes (also wrong).

I actually don't think he's that far off in regard to outside skill positions. South Florida pretty much shits on everywhere else when it comes to DBs and WRs. Louisiana does well too. Georgia is usually weaker in those positions.

Up front is a different story.

Arguably the top safety target for the University of Georgia plays less than an hour away from Athens, Ga, but has not stepped foot on campus in over a year.

That will soon change. U.S. Army All-American selection Nigel Warrior (Suwanee, Ga./Peachtree Ridge) told Dawgs247 Friday night that he intends on visiting Georgia on Sunday.

The Top247 prospect said earlier in the week that "Georgia stands very high for me right now." There is no debate over just how much Warrior is wanted by the Bulldogs' coaching staff.

"They tell me they need someone that can fly around to the ball," Warrior said. "Someone versatile enough to make plays at cornerback, nickel, safety."

Warrior, considered the No. 4 safety in the country, No. 8 prospect in Georgia and No. 67 overall in the 2016 class according to the 247Sports Composite.

That's outstanding news. Once thy get a kid on campus, almost doesn't matter who it is, to me- then we have a shot. I trust Pruitt, Ekeler, Sale, et al. to make the case for why they should be Dawgs.

It will be very telling if he comes in for the visit this weekend and then schedules to come on Dawg Night, too. That will really give us a shot.

Devwah Whaley, RB out of Texas had us in his top 5 list that game out yesterday. I think he'll end up at A&M, but it's good to see more RBs taking notice of what we're doing here.

Not a fan of taking JUCO DBs given the talent we already have on campus and the absurd talent in state for 2017 at those positions.

We've not had much luck with JUCO's over the years. A few hits but more misses...

I mean, who was our last JUCO hit on defense? I guess John Jenkins if you want to call him a hit?
