Losing Malcolm Mitchell after this season is scaring me with WR. I know we have a lot of guys coming in but I really want Davis. Are we pretty much positive he'll be a guy that goes all the way down to NSD?

I think he'll take it down to the wire. If Hess smart, he might be watching the coaching machine at work.

They are, I was just hoping that he and Eason spending a lot of time together back after Dawg Night helped push him to the good guys.

Interesting. So we should know something pretty soon in regards to him.

He was supposed to make a decision 2x now I believe. Instead he's postponing it until closer to the enrollment date. I have no idea if that's good or bad. He did wish Eason a Happy Bday yesterday with a pic of them together on the field. Who knows if it means anything or if he's just saying HBD to a friend. He is an enigma at this point.

UGA has offered 6'4" 210lb JUCO WR Derrick Willies who is a current Texas Tech commit. He averaged a ridiculous 23.6 ypc this past season and scored 14 TDs. He also sports a 4.0 GPA so he takes care of his business off the field as well. I assume this is a make-up for possibly losing the WR commit from TX.

I'm down with the JUCO guys with size movement. We need some bigger, stronger, more experienced receivers. We are short and young at the moment

I think we're realizing we need more size at WR. We have no size right now outside of towns, and IMO, it's huge (no pun intended) to be able to have big targets.

Yep agreed. 6'4" with some speed would be a great pairing for Eason

Yeah it seems like he is really confused, tbh. I think he knows UGA is the place but a huge part of him likes UT.

What a fricking haul Eason + Nauta + Davis + Hardman + Robertson would be.

More importantly, need guys that can actually block on the perimeter

It moved.

The best part is that is a conceivable scenario. Optimistic for sure, but certainly possible.

I'm going to be skeptical but I feel Eason and Nauta from that list are the most likely to end up in the Red & Black. I just can't get a read on the other guys so until they sign the line i'll stay cautiously optimistic on those them.

I don't know if I can see Robertson...obviously it's possible and i'm not throwing in the towel or discounting our chances, but it just sounds like UGA is playing catch up and are significantly behind. And if academics are as big a priority to this kid as he says, like it or not, UGA can't compete with Stanford. UGA's a fine institution (certainly better than one of his other main suitors, Alabama), but nobody can dispute the fact that Stanford is of another caliber.

I agree, though, definitely need guys who can hold their blocks ala Conley and Bennett. I think Chigbu will get there soon, I don't really see Godwin ever developing into an elite blocker without putting on some serious weight.

isn't EJ supposedly still leaning towards us? Would that help or hurt for KD since apparantly they had some sort of squabble?

Also speaking of big JUCO receivers...my mind has gone totally blank but didn't we bring in a good sized JUCO receiver within the last 5 or 6 years that didn't ever do anything? What was that guys name
