And they'll probably extend Fox. We're in a hotbed of talent and we've sucked for 30 years.

Okay, pretty much everybody in here expected us to get to the tourney and maybe even win a game, did we grossly overestimate the talent on this team or is Fox just shitting the bed?

ADGM should be fired. We suck at literally every sport. Think about it. Football, terrible. Basketball, suck once again. Baseball, no preseason expectations. Lady sports, who gives a frick.

Have always been a Fox supporter. Hate to say it but think he may have ran his course. Losing faith that he can elevate the program any more. Helped steady us out and make us respectable but this roster is better than they are playing.

you guys are all still crazy. this roster sucks outside of 2 players. a couple of guys might be good one day, but that day is not today.
fox is still a good coach for our program. you all think we can just make a slam dunk hire and become a perennial power overnight but that just is not happening. fact is, right now, 20 wins and a postseason appearance IS acceptable if we do it every year, which we are.
there is no reason to fire fox unless we have our slam dunk guy picked out and he is ready to sign.

I'd say it's the most mediocre it has ever been. Nobody save Volleyball is god awful but nobody is really doing anything either (except Swimming & Diving and Men's Tennis)

That's the thing. The bball program is our best big 3 program right now and while it is a lot better it isn't really that great.

I would retort that there is a large number of coaches that could get 20 wins with our roster, a number of gimmies in ooc, and playing in a bad SEC.
Fox isnt special. We can bring in someone else that can do the minimum just like he does.
In terms of other coaches, you do realize that just in the past few years, the SEC has brought in big names like Ben Howland, Frank Martin, Rick Barnes, Avery Johnson, and Bruce Pearl. Hell, Id say Bryce Drew is a big name, and a good coach.
Georgia is going to get left behind soon because of this, and we will be settling for 10th in the conference with the likes of LSU and Missouri.
You cant tell me we cant go out and get a Jeff Capel from Duke, or someone of that magnitude.

big names that were all looking for jobs, why? because they are all mediocre as frick. like you could not have picked a more average group of coaches.

Haven't followed UGA BBall closely and now that I'm settled back in the area after retiring from USAF, I'm looking at catching some games. Judging from the thread we're a mediocre/mid-level SEC team. Understanding that, what would be a gotta see game at Stegemen this year of the remaining schedule?

South Carolina, Florida, Auburn, and Texas will draw some crowds and (god willing) might even be competitive games. Kentucky will also draw a crowd but it may not be much of a game...

The lineup without Yante and JJ gives me cancer but I liked using it right there. Give them minutes now. Figure out who will get minutes.
