Under a better head coach, I'm certain Frazier wouldn't be scoring 28 points a game. Because he wouldn't have to. The offense could move through more than just one or two players. And it'd be dynamic.

With our current roster, any coach would be trying to get JJ as many shots as possible.

I also really don't understand the complaints with the offense based purely on statistics. We shot 50% from the field.

My biggest complaints are that To and Ogbeide combined for 5 rebounds in 55 minutes. If we're going to give To that much time he has to be better on the glass.

I've maybe missed 3-4 games in the past 2 seasons. What do you disagree with what I said.

It's pretty clear that everyone's mind is made up and every game is exhausting between the two sides. We lose close ones and it's all foxs fault that we lost but no credit for being close when we really have no reason to be. We win close ones and it is still all his fault that it was close but no credit for winning.

When you (not you, specifically) are arguing that a player scores too much, you are probably saying something stupid.

SIAP, but Jason King of Bleacher Report (Kansas City), said last night that Fox would be a top target for Kansas State. Not sure how credible but it makes sense. Fox is from Kansas and the UGA fan base has soured.

Interesting. Fox must be putting his name out there behind the scenes similar to richt working with Miami

It's BR so the guy could just be speculating (similar to how our fans and some writers have speculated on lists if fox were to end up leaving) but it would definitely make sense as you said. He was born and played college ball in kansas, and was a KSU assistant for like 5 years early in his career.

I think that's a pretty huge stretch. A BR writer mentioning fox at a job that makes very logical sense doesn't exactly mean fox is making midnight phone calls to people.

Is there any proof of that? Because I don't believe that either.

Short of richt admitting to it I don't think there will be evidence but it seemed to come together pretty quick. As far as Fox who the frick knows but I think it would be foolish for Fox to not be looking around considering you and many others including myself think his time has come to an end at UGA.

Well yeah, Miami knew they would not find a better coach than Richt.

We were the unit working behind the scenes, not Mark.

Or both were. Richt knew his seat was on fire.

Jason king isn't really just some random BR writer. He's a former Kansas beat writer, ESPN writer, and various other ventures. He definitely has his connections and knowledge when it comes to Kansas (the state) basketball.

Now, I don't know if fox has been out there making calls or not, but king isn't just making a logical guess there. He has at least talked to someone if he is saying that.

I'm sure he hasn't been making calls. The biggest thing he can do to boost his resume is make the NCAA's. He is very professional.

He got his start in coaching at K-State and was an assistant for a while there. They are just throwing his name out there because of that and he has been relatively successful at UGA so it makes sense to grow his name out there.

Anybody searched for Nic Claxton or TeShaun Hightowers highlight tape?

I've looked to see if anything new comes out and the more I see him the more I see a Travis Leslie but with better ball handling but a little less explosiveness.

Claxton can really shoot the ball and could help off the bench but he will have a lot to develop as a rebounder, interior defender, and rebounder. Kid has great potential because of his lack of mass and his ability shoot. We beat out Baylor and Maryland among other for him.

Of course he isn't making calls. That's what agents are for.

Agents do their jobs. Making sure their hot seat coach has a new job lined up is part of it.

What are the chances we'll be able to go after Tevin Mack? He was looking at us as a recruit and just got dismissed by Texas.

Can he shoot and handle the ball? Fox don't want that on the roster.

He can shoot. 6'6" wing. Definitely a decent player. I think he's getting a full release as well so he won't have to sit out.

I think we could use him for sure. Fox has recruited him before so that joke might work better on someone else

True story. Pretty sure he was originally down to UGA and VCU until Smart went to Texas. A lot of people thought he would end up here but Smart convinced him to follow him.

quote:

On a team that has struggled to score consistently, Mack had been Texas' best outside shooting threat this season, hitting 34 of 87 3-point attempts (39.1 percent) while shooting 45.9 percent from the floor.
Mack was also UT's third-leading rebounder (4.8 rpg)

If we can get him and he can get his head right (Fox isn't apt to deal with bullshite any more than Smart is), he'd certainly be a good add. I just don't know if we've got a legit shot to nab him.
