Thanks for the thread, so excited for basketball season being back. Really excited to see Turtle start his career in Athens.

And Ogbeide's injury is suppose to be minor, I'm hoping he only misses the first game since we have a week before game 2. We play some quality small school teams early.

I definitely wouldn't say K State, Clemson or GT suck but we do need to win for sure. Also the game on the road at Seton Hall will be big.

Would love to see a crowd turn out Friday, the exhibition crowd was encouraging.

Tyree Crump and Jordan Harris, both in the top 100 HS BBall recruits, ink'd with the Dawgs today.

Are you sure you aren't looking for the lady dawgs thread? We don't get good men's bball recruits save for the occasional KCP. Turtle, Mike, and Derek were just a strange confluence of circumstances

Shhh..sneaking a few good ones in on the low-low.

Speaking of the Lady Bulldogs..they did have a signing. A 6'3" post player, Kortney Eisenman

That's huge for Fox. Momentum with recruits is just massive for our future.

Recruiting is improving, partially because of the balance in the assistant coaching staff.

Turtle and Woolridge were both top 100 rated recruits pre injuries. They are both fully recovered from those but lost their status missing out on showcasing themselves on the summer and spring AAU circuit. Ogbeide is a top 150 kid and I like Edwards potential. Classes like that and the 2 top 100 South Georgia guards we signed today will set the program up well.

Of all the incoming recruits, I think he will make the biggest impact when he returns from injury. He was often overlooked in the recruiting circuit. We are thin in the post and has the physical presence to keep our opponents honest in the paint.

I think we’ll see a lot of 3 guard lineups with Turtle playing off the ball. He is very similar to Mann in that he doesn’t mind contact. He is a little small but I believe he has the tools to run the second unit with little drop off in production.

This should be a fun year, but we’re going to miss Thornton and Nemi early on. I’m hoping that Maten breaks out and we get some production out of the SF position. My biggest concerns, can we stretch the court with shooters and can we keep other teams off the boards.

Season starts tonight at 7. Fox said DO is questionable, which is great news to me. Even if he doesn't play (hopefully he won't be needed) that shows that the injury was pretty minor and he should be back soon.

I'm headed to Stegeman now, so I probably won't be on my phone a ton but I'll do my best.

I can update some of the first half but I have to run out somewhere around 7:45 or 8ish and wont' be able to after that. When I get back home I'll update if I can.

Idk, never really thought about it. I figured there wouldn't be much participation for this game in particular so I just put it in here. For bigger games I'd guess we'll start individual game threads. What do you think?
