Yeahhh story on the Gabbert start is that they wanted him to get ready last week but decided to wait for the "weak Falcons D" this week. Dunno what D they mean though as the Falcons are 11th in total D and 2nd against the run......

With the cap going up in the future the Falcons coulllld have the room. It'd make things really tight. But can.you.imagine Julio, Roddy, annnd Megatron lining up? Holy smokes the running game would be great LOL

Falcons rank 31st in sacking the QB. Guess they figure Gabbert won't have his characteristic "happy feet" against that.

True but they don't go for sacks from what Quinn has said. He says they go for pressures and good coverage as they rarely rush more than 4. If the sack happens then great. When they rush a 5th player they usually end up getting something to happen so I don't know why they don't do it more often. Sounds stupid to me but hey, he's the coach who's gotten some decent results, not me.

It's the Seattle philosophy. Difference is Seattle was getting goodt results rushing four. Hopefully our front four gets better. They have been OK. Need to be great if we are going to be competing against the packers and patriots of the league.

I think they are getting better if you remember these are the same players mostly who couldn't get out of their own way under the Mike Smith regime.
NOLA was a beat down and that happens sometimes and when Breeze is spot on as he was, but the Tampa game was lost on 4 turnovers. Green Bay & Charlotte have deeper benches than Atlanta at this point and the defense will need to step it up.
Matt needs an all pro tight end to lean on, something both GB & Charlotte have.

This team has a long way to go to be a playoff contender. We have to many issues and the QB position is starting to look like it needs improvement.

I have no idea why the ref at the top of the field was so adamant about getting the ball. He couldn't see anything and gave a terrible spot.

I honestly think it may be time to start looking at other options at QB. If Ryan can't get it done with Julio Jones out there he just isn't gonna get it done. We have had many opportunities and keep pissing them away on offense against the 49ers.
