"Um. It's going to be ugly.

One of the top offenses in all of college football against an undersized, young defensive line does not mean you're going to have a good game. I'm kind of thankful the game is on the Big Ten Network, because the fewer people that see this the better."

A lot of people are already lookin' ahead to Notre Dame. I hope the Dawgs are ready for that first game.

There's 3 FCS (or former FCS) teams you do NOT schedule.

App State
Georgia Southern
North Dakota State

They will give us fits. Kirby better have the team focused on App St. and not thinking about ND or we could get embarrassed.

Y'all do realize we played App State in 2013 and won 45-6, right? It's not the first time we've played them since they upset Michigan (and despite the test they gave Tennessee last year, they've yet to upset anyone on that Michigan level since).

Not saying don't take it seriously or have your guard up. Just saying don't make a mountain out a mole hill either. Go play your game and you win easy. Play like you did against Nichols and you're probably screwed.

Given our performances against Nichols last year and GaSo the year before and what we watched App St do to Tennessee last year, I think we have reason to be nervous.

Our defense and our backfield is the reason I am not nervous.

Double digit win is most likely.

Last year vs Nichols literally ever opportunity we had to screw it up we did. Go back and look at where and when all of our turnovers happened.

This year the Def is even more stout and the Offense will be a bit better. IMO.

Yeah, but that App State team was the worst team they've had in a long time.

I'm getting a similar feeling from this game as I got from Boise State in 2005. It wouldn't shock me if we beat them something like 48-13; however, we're going to be in big trouble if we sleepwalk through this game looking ahead to Notre Dame.

If we don't beat them by 10+ points we will be in trouble for the season.

Appy got housed by Miami last year and Clemson the year before. UTk didn't lets the black sleastack run last year...threw them off their game.

Their 2007 team was significantly better than this year's team.

In retrospect, this quote is pretty hilarious:
