New to the board. Sorry if this is an old topic.
Anyone a part of Disney Vacation Club? Looking to pull the trigger.
What's the good? And the bad?

I am. Bought resale in 2013. Parents bought direct in 1994.
Good:
- access to on site condos/premium rooms with kitchens and laundry rooms
- only timeshare that retains or grows in value
Bad:
Really depends on if you're buying direct or resale nowadays. Things are so different.

Define different...sale vs resale.

Price and perks. Resale can be almost half the cost of direct. And originally, all "perks" that you got with a membership were passed on if you sold. Then they took away being able to use them for the cruise or adventures by Disney. Which was fine because no one should be using their points for those things anyway. But now you don't get discounts or access to the tables in wonderland card. There more be other stipulations too that I'm not remembering.
