I am. Even though I didn't expect any better I still feel punched in the gut by KS.

I kinda agree. Although it's pretty embarrassing

I'm mad. I figured we would suck this season, so if we had been in a close game and lost at the end, no big deal. But to almost set a record for a NCAA comeback, that's just embarrassing. Truly embarrassing.

How many times have we heard that X player or Y team set a new record against us under sumlin's tenure? A lot. A fu**ing lot.

I'm not upset exactly, since there's no way he doesn't get fired now. But I'm still embarrassed. you have to try and lose that game.

Pretty much what SafetySam said to me as we were walking away from the LSU game last year. "You know the worst part? I'm completely apathetic."

And I think most of us have reached that point. He teased us with some (surprise!) good defense and remarkable running game and 34-pt lead. And he still found a way to lose. It isn't his fault Starkel was injured, but I wouldn't mind seeing him fired before they get home.

I hate that we won't move on until we have to endure 11 more iterations of that. But ultimately, it is better this way. This leaves no doubt that Sumlin isn't it. Its over. We have time for everything to play out, the decision makers can settle on a replacement and all the money can be gathered up to go make it happen.

Aggiebelle sat on the couch in the 3rd quarter and said "you know what, I'm not going to get too excited because I know we can still mess this up."

And goddammit my woman was fricking right. She has seen this before. And therefore, I'm just wry, not angry.

J/k, I'm fricking livid. But I'm not surprised.

No, but it is his fault that he pulled a struggling quarterback playing his first ever game when up 24-3 instead of letting him get comfortable with the offense.

UCLA outscored A&M 35-13 from that moment on.

Yeah I'm numb as well. I'm actually sort of relieved it happened Game 1. It doesn't leave any ambiguity for what's next. We are hiring a new coach in November.

I expected better than being on the wrong end of the 2nd largest comeback in NCAA history.

I am relieved. I thought this might be a slow two year burn. I think this accelerated the process

Fran never blew a lead even close to that big. In fact, the largest lead Sherman ever blew was 18 points.

Sumlin almost blew a 23-point lead against Louisiana Tech in 2012.

This saves me the next 12 saturdays. Sumlin has zero support from me. I will not watch another game this season if he is the coach. If we screw up this coaching search and settle for an mfing SMU coach I'll be done with A&M altogether until we get management that will do what it takes. Woodward, ball is in your court...
