Tecate is right that Lester Hayes needs to be in the conversation.

Yeah, Lester the Molester should definitely be in the conversation. He was a lot of fun to watch and just a fun guy. Thing is, he benefited from the presence of Pat Thomas. (Where do we throw? Not there. Nope, not there either.)
Curt didn't have that. It was either Big George up the middle or Curt running around the ends. And if he made it outside the end, it was essentially over because there wasn't anybody on the field that could catch him.

I remember seeing Lester in an interview. It took him a long time, but he spoke volumes.

I was class of '77. Non-reg but lived in the corp dorms 10 and 11., ate at Duncan.
Bubba played in '77. I wouldn't know shite about anyone before my time as I come from a long line of longhorns.

Is it really that bad?
I apologize for my part in it if you feel singled out. Your wisdom is just appreciated, that's all. Seriously I am sorry.

finestfirst79, for whatever it's worth, I appreciate you.
You're not old; you're experienced.
That's invaluable.

Oh, stop. I don't take any of that seriously. And SafetySam is laughing his butt off at you talking about my wisdom.

Well Safetysam doesn't have any room to laugh. Thanks to you I have:
-Given up on the T Star
-Accepted we will play Texas again one day
-Figured out why we didn't win a national title in the 70s
-Learned that I need to be more concise on here
-Been motivated to eat more kale
-Become closer to my inlaws
-Accepted that the band will never be non-regs
-Figured out why we never had the balls to stick up for the best A&M football coach since I have been born
So for all this and more I thank you.

Finest, the youngs are toasting you. What the hell did I miss?

And you are toasting the youngs. Did Hillary win? How long have I been in the bar? This is weird.

And in case 'anybody' is wondering: any time, anywhere.
