The Aggies stole that one, fellers. The only comparable game I can think of is 2013 at Ole Miss. We had a great time, though, and the UF fans we met were all very welcoming and friendly. I want to thank UF for making Aggies feel at home:

There was some unexpected weirdness before the game. Street preachers like this guy were seemingly everywhere shouting for us to repent through a megaphone.

And then here come the Hare Krishnas. I wasn't aware they were still a thing:

They were headed straight towards the street preachers, and we really expected a mini-riot. Sadly, no punches were thrown.

Finally we ran into a perfectly normal Aggie:

A good time was had by all. Of course the win helped a bit.

I am personally super grateful to the Texas Aggies for being a big part of one of my favorite college football weekends ever

I should have gone to that game. Something about being present at a road game we win is special and memorable.

Nice job, though it forced me to install Commie iTunes. (It's a personal thing with me. Don't read too much into that.)

I got off on a tangent just a bit. To reiterate: Nice job.

Indeed.

Also, feel free to promulgate your podcasts in their own thread. I used to podcast and post episodes here but then I decided to procreate

There was a guy who stood out in front of the north endzone at Kyle on gamedays for years shouting religious and political rhetoric. He was fairly old and I assume he died since I haven't seen him in 4-5 years.

I was always impressed how everyone just ignored him and nobody ever bothered to argue. So many places that turns into a scene.

Same deal at UF, but there were more of them. Standing in one spot we saw 3 sets of them moving around the stadium and they were obviously associated in some way as they had similar signs and all were armed with megaphones.

The only interaction we noticed was a young lady who walked up to my old lady and asked, "Does God shout at you?". She then approached megaphone-guy and gave him a "Shhhh". That had no effect, but it was funny.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Saw him a lot as a student. That crazy old coot used to point at random people and scream "You're going to hell for Masturbating!" on a megaphone

He used to stand near Sully's statue.

The juxtaposition of these screaming street preachers and the small Hare Krishna group doing their thing was rather amazing. Oh, and I think Finest forgot to mention that the law was out in force everywhere. All-black uni's with serious weapons on their shoulders and snipers on roof tops in the area where the Florida team walked to the stadium. Don't know if the latter is sop or just the Vegas effect, but it was prominent.

I didn't take any of their pictures for fear that... you know... they might not want their picture taken. But yeah, UF was very heavily armed. Weird deal, but I guess that's the world we live in now.
