I know you'll need a shoulder to cry on after losing Timmy. There's always room on the Mavs train with the best big man to ever play for a Texas team.

No it's to make fun of his assertion that Dirk could carry the Dream's jock strap

Indeed. Been cool texting with my brother this morning. I was 9 and he was 6 when Duncan was drafted. Back then we just wished the Spurs could win ONE title so we could experience what our Jordan fanboy friends experienced.

Never thought it'd turn into 20 years of perennial contention. What an incredible ride growing up with such a legacy plying his trade in our hometown with such class and success. It's something most sports fans never get to experience, and we'll cherish it always.

Manu's my all time favorite Spur (and I know this might be his last year next season ), but Timmy is THE Spur by which all others past and future will be measured. Can't put into words what he means for the Alamo City.

Tip of the cap to the legend on a brilliant career and staying true to himself and the city of San Antonio from start to finish. There'll never be another Timothy Theodore Duncan

Very true. He exceeded any semi-realistic expectation any fan could have had at the time he was drafted. Very little drama, absurd longevity, made the players around him better. Couldn't ask for more.

So I guess we are just going to keep pretending he wasn't a center the entire time?

Wow I knew he played C too, but I didn't realize he's estimated to have played 70% of the time there.

He def aint the best C of all time.
