Playoff? Who said anything about playoff? But if you want to go there, I'd pick the most deserving teams. If those teams happen to be Wake Forest, TCU, Indiana, and Vanderbilt, then I'd pick them...but that doesn't mean I'll watch or get hyped up for it. They are just a bunch of 'meh' teams.

I also don't understand the dig at their fanbase? They are one of the Big 12 teams that consistently fills their stadium and happen to also be very nice people.
Yeah, I'm going to be honest. I didn't read this part at all. I don't care about records or fanbase. The fact still stands; they aren't a blue blood and are a 'meh' team from the most 'meh' part of the country, the Midwest. Sorry, but I just don't care for them and their fanbase. They are so damn vanilla and pasty. Would have much rather drawn a team we have no history with

But we really didn't. If the Big 12 had it's own network that was in the same amount of states as the SEC we'd still be there.

Why would you even be an Aggie if you don't care about meh teams from the middle of meh? We aren't a blue blood either when it comes down to it. We would have been jumped by Ohio State just like how Penn State was this year or TCU/Baylor were in '14.

Kansas State has beaten Tech, Texas, Baylor and TCU. They are calling themselves the Texas State champs. That angle makes this game interesting for me.

Probably so. But had we been in OSU's shoes and Kansas State had PSUs shoes, we'd jump KState as well.
Ranking the hierarchy of CFB varies by individual, but chances are that most people will agree A&M is a way better program than Kansas State. IMO, we are a way bigger and more respected program than some program in the middle of Kansas. TV ratings prove my point. America gets gets more excited to watch A&M than they do for Kansas State and most other Big12 programs.
K-State is just so damn meh.

Because they're meh.
Auburn has a tied series with Vanderbilt. But that doesn't make Vanderbilt just as good as a program as Auburn. Kansas State is meh. They are nowhere near being blue bloods and nobody cares to watch them. Matter of fact, from here on out I'm going to refer to them as meh. They may beat a hapless A&M team that is broken right now, but that doesn't change the fact that they're meh.

Nothing on the playing field. But I wish we should have at least drawn another 8-4 ACC team instead of an 8-4 Big12.
