As good as I'd expect.
And it's not an insult to not expect more. I'd be insulted if any SC fan said anything nicer than that about Clemson, SC.

as far as non metro ~100-200k cities:
San Angelo >>> Abilene >>> Waco >>>>>>>>> Tyler >>>>> Amarillo >>>>>> Midland >> Killeen >>> Beaumont >>>> Odessa >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Any city in the Valley

I wasn't coming to ask Aggie fans, but Texas lovers what they think of a particular town. I expected some bias but I think I have gotten some pretty fair assessments and info overall. The rest is on me and my research and going to Waco. You can find good and bad in any town, and ultimately comes down to personal preferences and expectations.
I wouldn't make a move based on some message board comments, but it adds to my info gathering in making a choice, but I get your point just the same.
Thank you a lot to all that took the time to respond.

WTF. No way San Angelo deserves that. If you take out the proximity to others cities, I can't think of any reason I would rather live in San Angelo than Midland. At least Midland has a Freebirds.

Angelo has freebirds you ignorant fool.
There is not a soul alive that can go to both towns and say that Midland is better for any other reason than you can get richer there. You sound like somebody who came to San Angelo for one thing and never went to the rest of the city.
The only thing Midland has over Angelo is oilfield trash and whores trying to get their money.
ETA:
San Angelo's Mexican Food will kick any town's you name arse as well.
ETAA:
I love you and hope this isn't construed as Aggie on Aggie violence.

And I don't tihnk we are being unfair. Waco isn't a top 100 place to live in Texas
Apparently neither is college station.

That list probably has too many tiny places or communities within communities.
If you set it at 50k to 200k, CS was 20, Waco 42 (behind Baytown).
Bets Town (under 100K)
LINK /
CS is #2 in TX. I guess it depends on the ranking.

Not the good Ags on this board aren't being truthful, but I can't help but thinking going to an A&M board to ask about Waco is the same as going to a Clemson or UGA board to ask about Columbia. Their experiences are going to be decidedly different than the average
Nah I have lived in Waco, and while it's really an ok place it's just stuck in between being small and being big. The best thing there is Baylol sluts

can any of you shed some light on the WACO area?
We could, but every time we do, it takes months to get all the cockroaches to go back to their home.
