No way in hell would I even entertain the thought of using social media if I were a notable person. Then again maybe it takes a level of narcissism to reach the pinnacle of sport where you feed on the attention?

Yeah, depends on the person I guess. Few exceptions like Kawhi Leonard (dude has a twitter but hasn't tweeted since like 2015
