At least we have Auburn on the road two weeks after so we can get a quicker read than the last two years

I just want to point out that after Christian Hackenburg's freshman season, they were already pegging him as the no. 1 pick in this years draft. One coaching and offensive system change later and he's going to be lucky to be a third round pick.

i was talking about hackenburg on the MSB back in the fall. doesnt help that he also had like the worst offensive line out of any P5 school for the past two years. hackenburgs career was a weird situation

UCLA's receivers let Rosen down a fair bit.

I enjoy the 5-6 week delusion that we're actually a good team. Sure beats the last 6 weeks.

UCLA offensive line going through ‘growing pains’
With nearly half of spring camp done, the UCLA defense has dominated the team periods. The offensive line, which must replace three starters from last year, has struggled to control the line of scrimmage consistently. False starts keep popping up as the offense adjusts to a new cadence.
Left tackle Conor McDermott is a steady presence at his position after he started 12 of 13 games last season. The rest of the starting offensive line looks significantly different than last year, when the Bruins gave up only 14 sacks. Najee Toran is at left guard, next to center Scott Quessenberry. Poasi Moala (right guard) and Kolton Miller (right tackle) round out the first-string offensive line.
“They’ll be a good group once we get to the fall,” Mora said of his offensive line. “We’re incorporating three new interior guys and that’s not always easy, so there’s some growing pains there.”
While guard Kenny Lacy started 10 games last year, he has been working mostly with the second unit lately.
Quessenberry redshirted last season after undergoing surgery on both shoulders, but now is “the strongest I’ve ever been in my entire life,” he said. Mora said Quessenberry weighs 313 pounds now, up from his previous weight of 280, but remains quick and powerful at the line.
“I’m extremely excited to have Scott Quessenberry back,” Mora said. “He’s extremely smart and accurate with his snaps.”

What makes you (everyone) think Auburn will be any good. We seem to play fairly well at their house too.
I think Aub, Ark, UT, & LSU will all be good not great. Ole Miss & Bama are the only teams at that New Years Day / Playoff good.
State & USC should be bad.

I think Auburn will be better than UCLA and us

I think that has been the truth ever since we entered the league. We are not more talented than Bama, LSU, Auburn, or Ole Miss (the last 2 years). Many fans have been very unrealistic when it comes to the expectations for this program. I'm pretty sure that our team has outperformed projections every year except for 2013.
