Didn't realize this.

dont know if mentioned yet but their freshman LBer (who was the #1 player in california) is out for our game, so is LB deon hollins who is supposed to be their best pass rusher.

Anyone who has played in a 3-4 defense KNOWS the personnel issues that come with immediately switching to 4-3. It ranks up there with going for a field goal with 0:20 left and down by 4.

Just about ANYONE could have done a better job as A&M's HC than Fran. Kiffin could have done a better job. David McWilliams could have done a better job. A pack of hyenas....frickin'....I could have done a better job.

What a waste of money and a program.

Anyway, with the players they have out of the defensive line-up coupled with the switch to 4-3, I am really liking our chances. Our defense will have to suck 10 miles of fermented donkey taint for UCLA to have a chance IMO. But, I am still not betting on the Ags. Been burned way too many times.

IMO the deciding factor is going to be how accurate and how well Knight takes care of the ball. He can't be throwing in the mid 50% range w/nearly a pick for every TD.

If he can just take care of the ball and hit open WRs the offense should be good enough to win most of the SEC games on the schedule.

That'll be enough to go 8-4

People are seriously putting way too much hope in our defense.

Yeah I think we can be a top 30-35ish unit, but we need to prove we can really stop the run to be anything more. Top 30-35ish isn't going to carry us to a 9+ win year

Here's the counter to that though:

From 2010-2011 (Sherman/DeRuyter), A&M ran a base 3-4.

When Sumlin/Snyder came in, they immediately instituted a 4-3, moving Damontre Moore from outside linebacker to rush end.

I know we've sucked at Kyle recently, but that is a very stupid thing to say.

Kyle will be rocking the 1st half. Need everyone to pace themselves, though, so the energy doesn't fade in the 2nd half when the alcohol wears off and the sun beats everyone's arse.

Even if you're confident as hell, the last thing it's prudent to do is give a 100k plus crowd bulletin board material

Especially when you've never played there before.

Yeah that was dumb. Could have easily just said "We know it will be very loud, but I think we can handle it" and it wouldn't have caught any wind.

See/hear you in the NEZ

I don't want to derail this thread at all (and we badly need private messaging, mods) but KaiserSoze99 do you race on this thing?

It's a fine-looking ride.
