That's the most imposing college football team I've ever seen

2001 Miami and 1995 Nebraska may have been better, but I've never seen a college team that looked like that and played that fast across the board. Their DRs dwarfed our guards. Their receivers dwarfed our DBs. Their entire DL could run without skill players. Even past Bama teams didn't look like THIS.

It's odd to say, but they have some weaknesses. That said, they are weaknesses that most NFL teams would be happy with. The size and speed under a coach like Saban. Wow.

I was actually encouraged, we led THAT team in their building halfway through the third quarter. Without the roughing penalty and the fumble for a touchdown, we probably have the ball with a chance to win late.

I texted my buddy exactly that when we were up 14-13. We're leading in the 2nd half on the road vs. a #1 that looks every bit the part.
Would have loved to win, and we definitely should have been more of a factor late, but, honestly, you can't expect much more than what we gave today.
ETA: We'll win out.

I agree. Not saying we would have done it. This game could have been a lot closer - and a lot worse. We had a chance to make this really fun, and that's a lot more than most can or will be able to say.

They are really f-ing good and our men were still were in it right up until they killed themselves w/unforced errors.
This game showed how much better our depth, moxie, and overall team composition is compared to the last couple of years. I can't imagine how badly the squads from '14 and '15 would have been thrashed today.
