You know, I'm mad at myself. I went against a lifetime of basketball knowledge and actually started buying into pat's nonsense this year.

I shouldn't be upset about this, I knew it was coming. My bad.

There is no excuse for our boys not being prepared to defend the 3 in the first half, and no excuse for such poor play at home

This is the basketball equivalent of Kevin Sumlin's October.

Will lose at LSU, to Kentucky, to Vanderbilt, at Alabama, and to Ole Miss to finish unranked and 10-8 in conference.

It won't be THAT bad, we'll do just enough to save BKs job.

10-8 puts us in the dance as an 11 seed and will save his job.

Doubt it

Either way, our AD has a pathological aversion to success

Hopefully Woodward gives far more of a shite than Hyman did.

We are the Aggies. The Aggies are we. Disappointment is the status quo.

The only reason we acquired talent in the first place is gone (Avery Johnson). He has one of the premier players in the nation (top 10 I believe) committed to Alabama for basketball. Alabama. And the kid is from Dallas. I would've paid anything to replace BK w/ Avery. He'll have Alabama in the final four within the next 4 seasons

It wasn't just Avery. Keller and Kennedy did great work with the class and then Stansbury closed the deal.

It seriously is. Kennedy has never been a good coach so it was just a matter of time before other coaches figured him out even with his talent advantage.

I feel the same way. I actually convinced myself that Stansbury and Kennedy combined to make a good coaching staff. Whoops.

Yup. Have been saying this all along.

I missed watching the game today. Checked the score. Wasn't even shocked.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose 3 of the next 4 either. Alabama isn't good but they play hard for Avery and it's on the road. LSU is immensely talented, is finally playing better, and we're on the road. Kentucky is Kentucky. If we do that, we'll finish 11-7 or 12-6, get a 7 seed, and have to fight to win our first game + be matched against a legit badass team in game 2.

Not what I was hoping from a team that showed it could write its name in the A&M history books.

Avery Johnson is just a little bit better version of Johnny Jones or Andy Kennedy.

Just because he gets great players doesn't mean he'll make deep tournament runs. I don't care if he was an NBA coach, he's not some basketball mastermind. He's the reason Dirk doesn't have 2 NBA titles.
