It should have been a 4 point halftime lead, but we fell apart in the 2nd half.

Shame. It was there for the taking. A few bad plays here and there, especially near the end of both halves, really turned things. I hate missed opportunities. Oh well, the season outlook appears bright. I fully expect us to be playing meaningful games in March!

Get credit to Cuse too. They made their 3s and FTs.

This loss doesn't bother me too much. 3 games in 3 days against a team that only plays zone will lead to tired legs and missed shots. But still, god damn it felt like Cuse had Steph Curry shooting some of those bombs.

I thought so, too, and had to look it up. They were 44% from 3-pt range (seemed higher). Aggies were 30%.

Pretty much this. They made their 3's we didn't, and they got to the line more than us. I can live with this loss. Going up against jim boeheim and his zone defense is no easy feat, especially this early in the season.

Most of which were well contested.

They had maybe 3-4 uncontested 3s...the rest had hands in their faces. They just lived by the 3 today.

Short turnaround and facing Cuse zone is tough.

It's like facing a team full of knuckleballers or GT's triple option. Most teams don't see it done at that level, and it's a shock.

It's a huge opportunity for growth.

I think if we played Syracuse on more rest we probably beat them. Guys were beat up and discouraged in the second half, and we settled for a lot of "meh" shot opportunities.

Was that the first time we have faced Syracuse since we knocked them out of the tournament several years ago?

At least 1 loss out of that group (Baylor, possibly at Arizona State).

So we go 4-1 here. We will likely lose to ISU so call OOC 10-3. A winning record in conference likely gets us in with our schedule. I would think 11 wins in conference would be likely. 21-10 with the SEC tourney to go gets us in and doesn't seem like a stretch at all.

We are not losing to Arizona State, they're terrible. If we do lose one, it will be to Baylor.
