That's silly. Johnny wasn't named until two weeks before the season either.

Johnny Manziel was named the starter on August 18, 2012.

The Louisiana Tech game was supposed to originally happen on August 30, 2012.

That's a difference of 12 days.

Kenny Hill was named starting quarterback on August 16, 2014. The game at South Carolina was August 28, 2014. That's a difference of 12 days.

Today is now August 21, 2017 and the season opener is on September 3.

If the starter isn't named by tomorrow (the 12 day mark), then they will be absolutely right.

Your piss poor deductive reasoning never ceases to amaze.

Manziel was named starter with 8 practices remaining.

Hill was named starter with 8 practices remaining.

There are currently 11 practices remaining.

I was mostly joking but thanks for looking it up. I'll be interested if they name a starter with 8 remaining again.

Very interesting but I don't blame Sumlin a bit for wanting to play poker with his qb choice

Anyone that does not think it's decided already is not playing with a full deck

Hubenak is a poor man's Dustin Long with the Mark Farris ability to turn the ball over on what would be the game-winning drive.

I award you an upvote, sir.

Well put, and only those of us who were around for that era will get it.

I wasn't a student back then. The starting quarterbacks when I was a student were Branndon Stewart and Randy McCown.

Incidentally, my senior year was the last time A&M went unbeaten at home in any season. (left school with a 19-game win streak)

By around for that era I don't mean as a student, I mean actively following A&M football. If you were a student prior to Farris and Dustin Dakota, clearly you subsequently suffered through that era as a fan, thus you were "around for it."

No matter how this is sliced, it's going to be an awful season.

No matter how much mayonnaise you use, you just can't make chicken salad out of chicken shite.

What if that mayonnaise is dispensed from a jizz jar, tho? Have we done that math yet?

Rumors of new starting OL:

LT Prater
LG McCoy
C McCollum
RG Lanfear
RT Sutherland

I'd love to hear what Turner has to say about Prater. He must have a better impression than what I saw in '16.

No rumor. That is what the #1s were for one practice.

All practices are 100% closed now. No starter has been named. I guess we're doing this to try and keep an edge for UCLA? Looch thinks we play 2 QBs on Sunday (Pocket QB plus Mond)

He's 100% wrong. We don't play a single QB on Sunday. The following Sunday, on the other hand, maybe.

He said next Sunday so yeah... I thought it was pretty clear I did not need to specify which Sunday we play on.

This move on the o-line is worrisome. Prater was the worst graded guard in the country last year according to PFF. Chin pubes thinks he will start at LT against UCLA. Didn't Koda go to media days? Wth happened?

A pocket passer like Starkel behind that line could be ugly

INAPPROPRIATE COMMENT WARNING:

His wife is Jazmin Babers, the daughter of Dino Babers, progenitor of the "Gulf Coast Offense" that got him fired as Slocum's OC. Apparently shitty offensive execution is passed both genetically and sexually.
