I think this is like last season, even though we didn't know for sure Snyder was gone, it was a 90% chance he was a dead man walking.
Same with Spav, Sumlin knows he has to cut him loose or his seat will be even hotter so Spav is essentially gone at this point. That's my take.

Exactly. That is what scared me about the dark Sark video (if its true which I doubt). I don't care if Sumlin is a drunk or borderline alcoholic. I care that he calls his shitty OC to come carry him to his room when he gets too drunk to walk. That gives Spav an army of blackmail pictures and stories to use as leverage against Sumlin.

They are friends, that's not how it works
Spav has been told to take whatever job he can get between now and the bowl game and that Sumlin will give him a heck of a recommendation

There are some rumors floating around, nothing solid but there are a couple of people who change the subject when Spav's name comes up. Don't know what it means if anything at all.

He knows its true though. The only guys I've seen that come close to asking a tough (barely) question or publicly question Sumlin is John Lopez and Brent Z. Billy sucks that dick like a prison bitch and is totally deflecting by throwing his fellow media members under the bus.
