The NFL question has never made sense to me, as far as the money goes. If you make $5M, what the hell difference does another $2M make unless you plan on retiring in a few years? (And he clearly doesn't.) On the other hand, maybe that's why I'm not a millionaire.
The challenge bit I sort of get, but I think Sumlin genuinely enjoys recruiting. I just can't see him leaving college for the pros.

I'd say Petrino to SC would be great for you guys but he signed that contract with the huge buy out.

I think 2017 will be his last year unless he either
A: Wins a championship
B: Has a total team collapse and we have a terrible season

He will be back on top next year, I don't see how this year is anything but a fluke.
It seems to me y'all don't have much depth at quarterback. You will have a very youthful player at QB next year, am I right? If so, that could be a problem.

I hope Spurrier finds a way to work Conner Mitch into some plays during the Furman and USA games. I honestly have no idea about him because I've been on board with Thompson.
I'm still not sure what to think of Thompson. He makes great plays, and then the next drive you're sitting back thinking "What the hell did I just watch?".

and the amazing thing about it is that it's fully guaranteed through like 2020 so they can't even fire him (which they should).
