He put on over 40 pounds since his recruitment. I'm interested to see what he can do.

Notable: no Noel Ellis or Vic Davis on roster

Reading this made me remember I had a dream last night that Hines and Santino were starting the first game and then Santino got an INT on the first series.
I know, CSB

Woah. I am way past caring enough to dream about Aggie football.

It really is sad. This is the first season since Fran days that Ive been this disinterested. The outcome Is already certain, the only question is does sumlin survive until the end of the year, or does the team quit on him early?
Luckily we have Spurs football as well.

What EPL team should I follow to get the proper A&M experience of being consistently above-average but never winning shite?

Not Premiership - different competition - but honestly, the English National team is A&M. They're thoroughly mediocre despite enormous popular support, tons of money, and every youth in the country playing the sport. The EPL is the most watched sports league on Earth, but the country that hosts it can't field a more than middling World Cup team. The media always hypes the national squad to the moon, but they always fall down along the stretch. Sound familiar?

That's the weird part is I'm very apathetic about this season too

I just want to know if the defense will improve? Took an Aggie to lunch the other day and he's all about Hines and made me watch his film.

Doesn't matter. Sumlin is still coach.

Hines
Hines got the most scholarship offers of any player in the country that year. He was the #1 or 2 LB in the nation. If he isn't really good in college (eventually) he'll be one of the biggest busts ever. I tend to think he'll be good.
Another guy to look for on D this coming season is JUCO xfer strong side DE Micheal "Cyclops" Clemons. 6'6" 240, already impressing the coaches, had to work his way up to this from nothing (he grew a lot in the past couple of years), which I like because it means he's hungry.

Was on the same flight as Santino back from Miami and we spoke for a while. Seems like a solid kid.

this dude is on his 5th school
Wash St -> Louisville -> Scottsdale College -> Montana St -> TAMU
I guess he wants to get into coaching b/c it's not like he tore it up at MSU (6 starts, 76/163, 46.6%, 888 yards six touchdowns, six interceptions)
