I am so glad these douche bags are getting what they fricking deserve. I am proud that we have made them so miserable. They just need to stew in it for two...maybe....three more....decades.

They would make a metric frickton of cash in the Big 10. He's right about that.
I still think they be more likely to go to the Pac 12 if the Big 12 splinters. shite, if I were them I'd want to join the Pac 12 w/Hawaii. They could use that as a springboard for advertising in Asian markets.

I love the argument that they think since we dumped the kids they will get to some day. They don't get that from a political point of view it is "Texas got their toy (LHN), and we got ours." There is no future political capital.
I can't wait for Baylor to sue them.

I agree 100%. Had they had the foresight to choose B1G over the LHN, the conversation would be different. I still think we take away t.u.'s edge by offering a real alternative, but the fan base and in-state recruiting shift would not have been nearly as seismic as it is now. I was reminded of this article after reading Clay Travis' recent article showing fandome shift in Houston and DFW.
Because they were all just like Peter Bean in their arrogance from the top down, that option is long gone. There is no way they can muster the political clout to leave baylor, tech, and now TCU without a huge fight and litigation. We Aggies would, of course, lend our political support for our fellow Texas institutions to make sure the Big Twatever conference stays intact. We're good to our fellow Texans.
I hate the divorce analogy because it implies that we are deadbeat assholes, but it works too well to ignore. We walked out without saying goodbye, left the longhorns at home, pregnant, barefoot, with all the kids and no child support and went off to date hot supermodels.
I would feel guilty if the entirety of that institution from the top down to the lowest t-shirt fan, wasn't exactly like Peter Bean. His condescending, down-talk tone mirrored that of all associated with tu, like when Bill Powers said to Loftin, "don't worry. We'll take care of you." Like we are helpless, ignorant children. Bean, in the same tone basically says, listen Aggy, we are smarter than you. You don't want to do that SEC thing. We care about your wellbeing.
Here's to eternal life support and no death for the Big Twatever.

To be fair, we didn't knock her up.

What a bunch of fricking retards. They are all too arrogant and self righteous to understand any of the dynamics of modern collegiate athletics.
Let them wallow in their shite a little longer. They still haven't figured out that it stinks.

Probably the biggest mistake (and that is truly saying something) that Dodds said during our move to the SEC was that as long as Texas was there then there the Big 12 would exist. He said it out of hubris but didn't think about the consequences of that statement.
It's true, with Texas in the Big 12 it will continue to be a conference and the little piggies are all happy to suck at their teets. That also means that if Texas leaves they will screw over most if not all of the other Big 12 schools, 3 of which are Texas schools and 1 of which is a public Texas school. Now if they had A&M watching their back and going along then they could do what they want but that is very unlikely at this point or if it were to happen we could ask a heavy, heavy toll for our support. Texas is strong but they are not strong enough to take on every other school in the State.
They got their wish, they are the Kings of the Big 12 and have control. The only thing they can't do is leave, at least not with some major changes occurring.
BTW, if Texas were to somehow pull it off that they could leave for the Big 1G or the Pac it would be a disaster for them. In the Pac 12 they would be playing schools that are all at least 1000 miles away and in different time zones. That Conference is also run by the California schools and that fact isn't changing. In the Big 1G they would still have the distance issue, the time zones wouldn't be as bad. They would be even more marginalized in the Big 1G from a power perspective though. Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, etc. aren't going to be impressed or intimidated by Texas in the slightest. Texas is a middle of the road school in that conference in most aspects.
