"We left no stone unturned in this search," coach John Harbaugh said in a statement. "We are excited about the result and cannot wait to get to work."

Gary Kubiak will be tasked with fixing an offense that finished 29th in the NFL in yards per game and 25th in scoring. Flacco threw a franchise-record 22 interceptions and the Ravens’ running game accounted for the fewest yards in franchise history.

Earlier this offseason, Kubiak interviewed for the vacant head coaching position for the Detroit Lions. The Lions eventually selected Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell to be their head coach. Kubiak also reportedly declined overtures from the Cleveland Browns to be their OC.

Kubiak was chosen over candidates such as former Redskins OC Kyle Shanahan and former Lions OC Scott Linehan.

Good for him. I never disliked Kubiak it was just time for a change in Houston. I wish him well.

Good for Kubes.
I'm really glad he bounced back so quickly.
The Ravens are fortunate to have him.

Kubiak is a good dude. Just didn't work out in Houston the way we would have liked. Hope he finds success in Baltimore

Kubes is a class act. Similar to Sherm he was a guy people liked but he just reached a breaking point. Best wishes to him and I bet he gets another head job in the next few years

Neither of those two could hold Kub's jock strap.
