I'm surprised no one is talking about the rapture. Houston looks like Waterworld and the Walking Dead had a baby.

Farmer I know you live out in the burbs, I'm assuming you and your wife/kid are safe? I know several that are flooded in downtown and moving out as we speak.

It hit hard and fast. Lots of lightening. Worst flooding weve had in about 15 years. It's been a rainy, damp Spring so there's just nowhere for the water to go when it hits that hard.

Watching the local news all day, and I'll always be amazed by people who drive their cars into flooded underpasses.

When I ventured out this morning there were tow trucks and cops everywhere, fair amount of choppers flying overhead, and very few actual civilian cars. It was pretty eerie.

TX should be trying to catch as much of this water as possible and sell it at jacked up prices to California.

I hope everyone is OK. Austin is still pretty flooded out too. Sad people have to die for us to get out of a drought.

We got pissed on pretty good, but no flooding in my neck of the woods. Thanks for checking.

Basically anyone inside or works inside of the loop (610) got screwed. 4 dead, 2 missing so far in Houston alone. Even a boat capsized trying to rescue people.

Meyerland/Braeswood was really the only neighborhood badly flooded ITL. Low lying roadways got fricked but as far as homes go there wasn't significant damage outside the area by Brays Bayou

White oak and buffalo flooded too.

I'm not talking about hoods. All the roads. Allen parkway is still under. Tons f side roads were/are flooded.

Make sure to not buy a used car from Houston over the next 2 years.

I plan on buying a flooded beater car in the next two years. I bought a flooded Ram truck that lasted in the family for 6 years. I had it and then I gave to my dad when I left for boot camp. He ended up selling it for $6650 and I only bought it for $3800. The only unschelduled maintenance I put into it was a new catalytic converter and a new fuel pump.

Welcome to Houston, the city built on a swamp, when it rains it floods. I remember as a child my dad showing up to pick me up from school in his 4wd company truck then we would hit the flooded streets and go pick up mom from work slinging water 20 feet up into the air and waving at stranded cars, yeah I know but it was fun so

Yeah Allen and Memorial are bad and always will be for flooding. I usually take Allen home but will probably have to find a different way the rest of the week. I live right near White Oak and it was bad by the confluence with Buffalo but not bad near the Heights.
