Could it be that the team played with a huge chip on their shoulder for the SC game, and after the beatdown we put on them got complacent?

Kenny had to fill Johnny's shoes.

WR corps didn't have Mike Evans anymore.

The O line lost Matthews

The D couldn't get any worse.

The first game was so perfect on so many levels it took the chip off their shoulders. Just a thought.

That could be part of it, but based on these past few games, that can't be the whole story.

I genuinely believe the coaching staff just got so used to Johnny minimizing the amount of effort they had to put forth as far as offensive game planning. For two years, we rolled out the basic route tree and simplistic run concepts knowing that was all we needed because Johnny's improve was half our offense.

Now, we simply don't know what to do with ourselves.

I think there's definitely a rift in the locker room.

At lunch yesterday, I ran into a former TAMU player who recently retired from the NFL. He confirmed "locker room issues."

He also basically said that no one wants to hear what he has to say.

I've heard that the team in general has a lack of motivation because "the best players will play" line is pretty much bullshite with this staff. They see young players that are better in practice and never play in the game.

In short, our staff plays older guys for no other reason than they are older and it has caused a complete lack of motivation.

If I ever meet one of the chucklefricks on Texags who blindly defends everything about the program and calls out those who question coaches and players as bad Ags, I might end up in jail. Reading the self-righteousness on Texags right now is infuriating.

The number of true freshmen playing on D today was stunning.
Don't like the implications of that.
But, honestly, the ineptitude of our O is even more stunning.

It's comical. How the hell do you blindly "trust Sumlin" or "trust the staff" after the last 4 games. I'm so tired of the young excuse.

From what you saw today, which younger players should be playing more that aren't besides White?

That is the point.

Something had to happen for Obioha, Mastrogiovanni, Bass, and Robinson to all lose their starting jobs.

Sumlin probably just realized finally that he wasn't doing anyone any favors by stubbornly starting older guys.

Against ULM, our longest rushing play by a running back was 11 yards. That is beyond pathetic.

Either Eluemunor and Gennesy were hurt or just not ready, but they can't be worse than Harrison and Gramling, who were directly responsible for the sack/fumble
