Let's hear them. (For the record, you don't get to use the Parkinson's excuse now that he's midway through his second full season and was diagnosed in 2011)

Lets turn this into a postive Billy Kennedy thread.
Billy Kennedy is fun at parties, he'll turn any bathtub into a jacuzzi.
Billy Kennedy gets all the Heinz 57 out of the bottle.
Billy Kennedy doesnt have to put his phone on vibrate.

If that's preventing him from effectively coaching, then he should have negotiated a severance package for a medical retirement.

You do know that other coaches are using the fact that he has Parkinson's against him in recruiting, right?

Parkinson's gives him a pass for year 1, NOT FOR YEAR 2

$1.3 Million/year doesn't elicit too much sympathy from me.

So you're saying $1.3M is worth more than a man's life?

3 words: NEGOTIATED SEVERANCE PACKAGE

Parkinsons is a disease which removes your energy. Even if you're not ranting and raving, coaching college basketball requires energy on the sidelines. I understand the importance of Glen Cyprien as a recruiter, but he's got to be a better option at this point. Right now, the team looks like it's coached by Melvin Watkins II.

Playing the Park card... Very original, bro. Doesn't change the fact he's a shitty coach. We aren't a charity.

This is very politically incorrect but...

Edit: You are definitely going to hell for that. I might not be far behind.

He did not, but neither did Kennedy. Turner did with 40 points. If he plays in that game like he has the past three we lose by about 20 points. One player having a statistical aberration of a game does not make Kennedy a good coach. The past three games are much more in line with what sort of coach he is.

ahh, the old if they win a game its the players but if they lose its all on the coach.

we need to get better players if you want better results.

its not rocket science.

That was almost an exact quote by Kennedy himself.

Here's a hint: Good coaches can get the maximum effort and ability of their players and mold their coaching style to fit their players. Bad coaches blame the players or their "lack of talent".

Melvin Watkins won in Austin in 2001. That t.u. team made the tournament. The 2013 Kentucky Wildcats likely WON'T.

What about coaches who blame the attendance of the game? Where are they on the coaching hierarchy?

Kennedy deserves a trophy for cleaning up Turgeon's mess.

You're seriously going to attempt to put Kennedy, a HORRIBLE playcaller, manager, and gameplanner, but an ok recruiter, above Turgeon, who, despite his flaws, was and still is a fairly decent gameday coach?

How's this for perspective?

Regular season conference losses for Mark Turgeon (2008-2011): 26

Regular season conference losses for Billy Kennedy (2012-2013): 17 <already equalled Gillispie's loss total in 25 fewer games>

With 13 conference games left, Kennedy has to win at least 4 more conference games this season in order to avoid eclipsing the total number of conference losses Turgeon had in FOUR seasons. I personally don't see where those 4 wins are going to come from.

Turgeon AVERAGED more conference wins (9+/year) per season than Kennedy has TOTAL conference wins (6)

That's like saying that Franchione cleaned up SLOCUM'S mess. Borderline retarded.
