If this guy is not fired within the next 48 hours, then its likely we are stuck with him for another year.

Your move Eric Hyman.

you mother fornicator. I see what you're doing! You're gonna make the tournament on the bubble based on pure talent, lose on round 1, and then get a bloody fu**ing contract extension (with a possible pay bump ).

Yep, all of this. And then that talent has another year going into their sophmore year and they actually win the first round game, but lose the next. I've basically convinced myself that kennedy will be here until next years class graduates. All the while never getting out of the second round.

The bas in me is thinking that hymen is putting off all major hires in an effort to prolong his job, and not reveal just how shitty an ad he is. Every year he goes without making a hire he gets more time.

So how long do we give Sumlin, since his teams have actually regressed the last 2 years?

I just now saw that a similar point was brought up in another thread but this seems to be the official fire Kennedy thread so I'll leave it here.

It would be applicable if Sumlin didn't fire the coaches responsible for the regression. (Anderson and Snyder)

It doesn't matter anyway. As long as we have the most inept and impotent ad in the SEC (the only one yet to hire or fire a single coach in his entire tenure) nothing will be done.

It is easy to regress when your the #5 team in the nation. Kennedy is still trying to crack the top 68.

CGSC takes up the entire first page and no problem. Pat makes 3 threads and shite starts getting anchored, I see how it is

Well then, I'll restate my previous question:

To all of you who said we're suffering in basketball because we got cheap and took Billy Kennedy instead of a better, more expensive option so that we could funnel more money into football:

What are you expecting out of our football team this year considering we're gutting our 2nd most popular sport to put more behind them? Seems like with that in mind it should be 11 wins or bust.

(Tecate is right by the way, football is the team that has actually been regressing over the past 3 years)

The two coaches most responsible for the regression, Snyder, and Anderson, have been replaced and upgraded. The one most responsible for basketball failure, however, has not.

To put it another way, Sumlin averages more wins than Sherman's or Franchione's best season and in a tougher football conference.

Kennedy's best season is below what Turgeon and Gillispie averaged in a much weaker basketball conference.

Not surprised that you think firing coaches is the magic pill for all sports related problems.

I'll say this though - if Kennedy doesn't reach the tournament next year with this incoming class, he's out. Hell, if we're looking like we're not going to make it mid-season a Stansbury take over would be a great option.
